So what's your most played platform this year and why?
#1
For my it's gotta be the 3DS. I've really enjoyed this little system, although I still have big qualms about it--lack of dual circle pads, ergonomics. However, I was a big fan of the DS and portables in general last generation. But of late, I just found it difficult to get into console gaming, the 3DS sleep mode, backward compatibility, and growing library has kept me busy during commutes and before falling asleep each night.
XBLA, which can be considered a platform in itself, IMHO, gets second place. Trials Evolution, FEZ, and also some older games I missed have been pretty fun as well.

3DS for me to. Its mostly because I can't get comfortable playing a game on my tv. I gotta figure out something different with my room setup.
I hope nearly all Wii u games can be played only on controller. Otherwise my 3DS will remain my most played until the next Nintendo handheld lol. |

360 is my most played because I usually buy the multi-platform games for it rather than the PS3(save for FF13, LA Noire, Batman). Also all of my friends have XBL and we play together a few times a week.
Wii is second this year because of Xenoblade and me catching up on some of my VC backlog and playing a few GC games. 3DS is third cause of MK7, RE: Revelations, Kid Icarus! PS3 is last just because I'm having a hard time getting back in to God of War III and LA Noire and I want to finish those games up before I start anything else. PSP is at 0 hours played so far this year lol. |

PSP because:
1. My 3DS has Tales of the Abyss inside, and I don't really feel like going back to it (I can only play one console game at a time) 2. My Vita is basically catching up fast, but since I don't want to re-buy my RPG's I'm going through them quickly. 3. I'm almost never home so I can't play my PS3/Wii (50 hours on Xenoblade is the only action it's seen in months). 4. My DS...well, I just get depressed thinking about the backlog and feel it's better to not even bother. And so I live with my trust PSP. |

Used to be xbox360, had all the exclusives, and games designed for both both the xbox and ps3 just seemed to fair better on the former.
Nowadays ps3 is killing it with exclusives. Still pick up some shooters on the xbox since I prefer their controller for that genre, but hot damn am I happy to have a ps3 these days. So many good exclusives have been coming out. |

PC: Mostly because of Minecraft.
The amount of games I've beat this year is pretty balanced between just about everything (PS3/Wii/360/PSP/3DS/PC) but I've dumped a significant amount of time into Minecraft, at least a thousand hours by now if I had to take a rough guess at it. It's been my go to game for time killing and podcasts pretty much all year. |

I think it's the PC, and that's because I have been playing games that interest me, and anymore it's the small indie games that interest me far more than the big titles. And with all of the indie game bundles out there it's hard to run out of indie games to play lol.
I think second up is the ps3 as I have been playing some JRPGs on that like Neptunia 2 and Tales of Graces F. Plus I have playstation plus and try to log at least 30 min with any new game (unless it really really sucks lol) |

1)X360 - so many good XBLA games and I play the 2D shooters (Cave, etc) all the time.
2)PS3 - mainly PC Engine stuff. Also PSN games (HotD 3 and 4 are wonderful), and a couple disc releases. 3)Ipad 2 (iOS) - I play this more than my portables. I really love the retro RPGs that cost a dollar or two. I highly recommend Guardian Saga and Dragon Fantasy! 4)3DS - Mainly download titles, and Super Mario 3D Land. 5)PSP - still rocking the JRPGs on this, but not as much as last year. 6)Vita - barely play the thing. Maybe I should sell it? |

3DS because of Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus Uprising, Ambassador stuff, and a bunch of eShop stuff like Pushmo and VVVVVV. I have to go pick up Mario Tennis Open tomorrow.
PS3 simply because I am playing more games for it than the Xbox 360 (where I'm only Skyrim but still have to open Deus Ex HR), putting in 100+ hours between Yakuza 3 and 4, test-driving a PS+ 3 mo. account and its free games, Journey and Darksiders. Even Wii is getting more time than my Xbox because of Xenoblade and Sin & Punishment 2 and replaying Super Mario Galaxy 2. |
