It's a different game, tbh. Pigsy is armed with sniper rifle as his primary weapon (and some other stuff). The game assumes more stealth elements, but it's a bit more repetitive (if you can believe that). Worth it, though.

It was an ok but forgettable game with 0 replayability due to how linear it was. If you can get it cheap then yeah it's worth it but when companies charge $60 for games like this and no one buys it and they wonder why, there's your answer. It's easier to spend $7-$10 for a 2 1/2 hour movie then it is to spend $60 on an 8 hour good-for-1-run only game that plays more like an interactive movie than an actual game.

Honestly, it's good enough to stand as its own downloadable game. If it were released for $10 or $15 on XBLA or PSN I would say it's totally worth it! |

I personally loved Enslaved. It's one of the few games that, despite not having been anywhere on my radar at any time in its development, I went ahead and purchased after playing a demo. It was beautiful, the story and characters were interesting, and the play mechanics, though simplified, managed to keep me fully entertained all the way through. Yes, it was flawed, but often the most memorable games are, and this is one I know I'll hold up as an example of an overlooked gem in generations to come.

I also get people having problems with the story I don't see how anyone (who isn't just trolling) can view the game as a complete and utter abortion. The game is solid. |

i loved how the story worked so well with so few characters. brilliant level and world design. the combat was ok but i hated how it kept going after i stopped pressing. also personally not a fan of chasing things so theres that...overall i think it was worth my time, just for the story and the experience of being in that awesome looking world

One of my favorite games this generation. Great art direction, locales, characters, and voice-acting. Actually just finished a Hard run-through last week and enjoyed it just as much as my first playthrough.
Decided to snag the DLC as well and would highly recommend it. Completely different gameplay (more tactical) and is actually pretty lengthy. |

Can someone pretty please explain me why Monkey reacts like that?
I mean Trip enslaves him right at the start. Monkey is pretty pissed about that. Makes sense. But then somehow it seems to get forgotten and Monkey + Trip become somewhat "friends" and he cares about her, ALTHOUGH he got a freaking collar around his neck that will blow up, if Trip dies and/or gets too far away, although the latter is depending on the level he is in, sometimes it's a few meters, sometimes it's much more than that. Anyway, is this Stockholm syndrome at work? I never understood it. Why would anyone behave like that?

I like the game on balance, because it has great art, a gorgeous soundtrack, great performances, an intriguing story and a decent ending. But yeah, the combat is just about good enough, but not quite, and the platforming is dreadful. I'm standing on a box, with a level surface below me, and I can only drop off one side? They may as well have had a Zelda style auto jump. I did like timing the presses to get monkey to, well, monkey better.

Besides having one of the most disappointing endings I've ever seen I loved this game, characters and writing were fantastic, the game itself was really fun to play. Shame it tanked and they never got to make a sequel after Namco stated they had ambitions to turn the series into their own version of Uncharted.

Yeah having Andy Serkis show up in fmv saying "Suprise Bitches, I invented the matrix" was really good and ending the game without any real conclusion because "hey, we're going to get a sequel right?" was a great move. Internet sarcasm |

Good faces, good animation, interesting world premise. I like Andy Serkis, liked the ending.
Weak combat, simplified traversal and a lack of variety were the weak points mechanically (though the game isn't really long enough to really pull it down). It's a right technical mess on consoles, though. From framerate to low res textures to jaggies there were multitude of problems graphically. It should've had a PC version, really. |

I can't say I loved it, but I did enjoy it for my one and only play through. I simply have no desire to ever go back, but I was entertained enough by the story and journey so was left feeling like I had just seen a decent movie (I paid about the same as a movie ticket for it). I wonder if I would be able to revisit it had there been no combat at all, just movement, exploration, and survival?
I did however love the first stage, having looked all over after defeated all the enemies to look around and sketch what I saw onto paper. A city not of brown and grey and a bit of orange, but of post-fall with nature reclaiming, oh what a site. I of course poured over the concept art provided by some of it's artists and in magazines and enjoyed it for what it was. However I wish wish I could get Ninja Theory to provide me some of the actual artwork, and image files to inspect and manipulate (for my own enjoyment and personal use only of course) straight from development itself just for this post-fall New York city. We truly need more of this. http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery...reet-view.html |

I keep hearing things about the performance, but it was pretty steady on the 360 until one of the very late levels.

Anyway, I finished it but I was too lazy to dig up the thread and post impressions. I liked it. The thing is I couldn't shake the overwhelming feeling of emptiness and lack of character the world has. Yes, the environments you traveled are lush and beautiful but they're just empty levels for you to traverse. There's very little in the way of exposition. Nothing really hints at what may have caused the apocalypse, and the relationship between the remaining pockets of civilization and Pyramid isn't all that expanded upon. Anyway. It was a nice, albeit somewhat hollow journey. |

It was pretty solid but I felt suffered a bit in that:
1 - the plot went more than a wee bit wonky and while I don't want everything explained a bit more about the setting would have helped, particularly for an SP only game 2 - their use of Unreal didn't quite cut it, particularly on PS3. The game looked nice but not as nice as Gears on 360 and certainly it felt like a poor relation to Uncharted on PS3. TBH given the gameplay I felt their level orientated use of Unreal wasn't that hot. An engine more like that under Uncharted that streamed locations as you moved ahead would have worked better 3 - combat wasn't quite deep enough and neither was the platforming. Again, while solid, the game clearly lagged behind other, better fare. I think it was a classic example of a solid, pretty nice game that didn't differentiate enough in experience or content to stand out against similar seeming titles. The basic concept was promising and some levels were pretty nice - just never quite hit the high mark in too many areas. |

I should replay Enslaved. I liked it a lot. It had an amazing atmosphere, which is one of the most important things in games for me.
I also thought the ending was very good. I see why some thought it was nonsense, but to me, it added a little "Twilight Zone-ish" flavor to it.

I thought about getting back into it, in case there might be some cool puzzle, platforming or adventure elements, but I guess that is not the case. |

- Weak gameplay
- Fully automated platforming - Shallow battle-system - Quite repetitive - Great art-direction - Beautiful environments - Interesting story - Good narrative - Very nice cast of characters - Good voice acting - Great OST - Good script - Nice atmosphere To sum up, weak as a game, very good as an experience. |

Guess I will give it a try. I loved PoP 2008, which was not that deep gameplay-wise and had automatic platforming (no surprise, it's Prince of Persia after all) - to say it, it was better as an experience.
Hearing similar stuff from this game just wants me to buy it. |

I was really impressed with the facial animation and acting. But I really only play games for the gameplay, and it was nothing special in that regard. I paid $10 for it and felt that it was worth that. Not a bad game, but I have absolutely no desire to play it again.

The characters' have a ton of heart. The relationship between Tripp and Monkey is one of the best in-game partnerships I can recall. I legitimately "felt" for both and wanted the best for them. That ending though. Wow. |
