In Canada, we have to sit through the most annoying 5 minute laser light show that explains the history and the features of IMAX. I think it's just a Canadian Content thing since it's a Canadian product. :/

We have something like that where it starts saying 'You are about to experience IMAX. The finest quality picture, sound..etc'

But it only goes for one minute. I think it's pretty neat.

Having listened to the soundtrack I can say it's fantastic!

Overall, Prometheus is an impressive entry in the franchise's musical body, especially considering I haven't really been impressed with the previous work of either Marc Streitenfeld or Harry Gregson-Williams. I admire its purity. It's wondrous and beautiful at times, but is often brutal, uncompromising and just plain unsettling. Let's hope the film is the same.

I've heard some suggest it has to do with the Olympics being in London. Apparently it pushed all the release dates forward. I'm not too sure of that though.

It really depends on the type of movie. I had the presentation when I watched Avatar and The Dark Knight but not with I am Legend. I think that the amount of people showing up at a top tier movie makes them give a presentation.
