So tired of commercial gimmicks.
They'll have to pick someone who's been around, but who hasn't had many love interest stories. I'm drawing blanks on who fits that bill though. Someone said Vibe would be making a comeback/resurrected, so maybe him, but I wouldn't exactly call him iconic. So...who? |

Hal Jordan: His philandering ways are merely a front! Secretly he yearns for the soft touch of the Scarlet Speedster. Brave and Bold, indeed.
Cyborg: Sure, with his mechanical augmentations he can't play football anymore, but he can still cover the spread as tight end any day! Ambush Bug: Because why the hell not. |

I wonder how long it'll take before the DC universue introduces its first masturbator. Should be the climax of their next big event.

Certainly can't go worse than the Rawhide Kid and Rainmaker from Gen 13.

I'm going to assume that no one else is bothered by specific pandering. I'd rather they just make a good gay character (and a good black character, but that's more towards Ultimate Spider-Man nowadays) instead of this "hey, we're going to make a gay character, or hey, we're going to make a minority character!"
I don't know, I guess it's just me. |

When are they going to introduce the first furry hero?

No, Morrison's explored that concept pretty thoroughly. And if you read up on comics history, you'll understand what he was tapping into.

I dunno man. They went out of their way to not announce his exact race so as not to play it up, but the reporting zeroed in on that anyway. And knowing Bendis has adopted minority children is important context as well. I don't think that's tokenism.
Since these characters are predominantly white, when you get a chance to reboot and make them someone else, I think it's just really creepy when people get mad that the new character isn't the same race as the old character. He is a DIFFERENT PERSON. |
