My roommate brought up an interesting point about these past couple episodes. They've gotten a lot more absurd this season, much like IASIF did... not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but they're definitely bending the reality they crafted in the first 2 seasons a lot more to the point where the show feels 'different'. Not bad different, just different. It's still funny, but yeah.

Also, the guys seem a bit... dimmer than in the last 2 seasons. Anders has definitely shaken a bit of his straight man vibe in favor of adopting more of Blake and Adams stoner vibe.

just something to note.

The show's definitely leaned into its stupidity, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. only time'll tell. if, 5 episodes from now, I'm starting to get kinda tired of the show, I'll regret them doing it. But right now, I'm more than content to watch Adam try to say "stand" like a lawyer for hours on end.

I completely agree about the always sunny vibe. I hope the show doesn't continue to go in that direction. Always sunny was amazing when the characters and situations felt like they were somewhat rooted in reality. Then it became more absurd and the characters became one-dimensional and cartoonish in how dumb, greedy and mean spirited they were. The past couple episodes of workaholics the characters have started to feel like essentially the same person like the gang in always sunny does and I don't see that as a good sign.

I was beginning to feel like the only person on GAF who has the same complaints about It's Always Sunny. The first three seasons were fantastic, but everything after that has been various shades of terrible.

I've been beating that drum for years in the OTs but everyone in those threads eats up the newer seasons. I just don't get it.

I'm with you, bud.

But for the record, I don't think Workaholics is headed in that direction, at least right now. This episode was so brilliant. The perfect comedy dynamic.

Best comedy show in years, IMO. Doesn't hurt it is basically the exact same household dynamic I used to live in, well, a blend of that and the Young Ones.

I loved when the Realtor told them they can't drink on the roof on Sunday and they just said they'd smoke a bunch of weed instead

"Super Blunt Sunday!"

Hahaha, this show is so awesome. I've genuinely laughed at every single episode. That's incredibly rare for me

I need to rewatch it cuz I'm mad confused about something right now haha. If Ders' dad didn't get a rental car and Ders' car was still at his real house, then how did they get to the dealership? Or maybe the Volvo was at the new house. Idk and it really doesn't matter, but it still confused me lol.

Feel the exact opposite. I miss Jetset.

This was a clunker, except for Dad Dicks, but it's the only one this season. The rest of the new eps have been incredible.

I really wasn't a huge fan of the 'Big Fat' episode.

For me, the season premiere, and the Rancho Chupacabraj are the best so far.

"Dirt to Blaze: How's air quality down there?" "It's alright, it's okay. But I could use a 'blow of the dro', sir." *huffing* "Blowing the dro." Shit was hilarious.

This is my favorite episode so far this season. I'm not sure if I feel like constructing an argument for why I feel that way, but that's the impression I had when it ended.

I really hate to say this because I LOVE the first 2 seasons, but especially after this week's episode I think it's getting a little bit too cartoonish for my taste.
Dialogue seems too forced now and Adam's character is now almost as if they hired someone to do an over the top impression of him. Fuck it, maybe I'm overanalyzing a stoner comedy a bit too much but I think the episodes in the office are the funniest and there haven't been a lot of those this season.

Yeah, I'm starting to see a trend here.

Season 2 had so many awesome moments, like the car jacking off scene, the gang buying weapons, the dealer's wedding, and the pool party/TMNT references.
