This is something I've only learned recently. Now I'm too used to the taste of sugared oatmeal. I want my food to taste delicious.

I use Splenda brown sugar so that helps a little. Of course I also add honey, so how much using Splenda brown sugar helps is debatable :-p

Well, that is why I dont eat it anymore, but for the people who do, I cant imagine why anyone eats oatmeal if they dump a crap load of sugar on it. Might as well just buy a tastier cereal since that sugar pretty much ruined all the healthiness of that oatmeal

I make mine with almond milk. Put some peaches in it, or blueberries and cinnamon, or bananas and pecans. I sweeten it with stevia and it's awesome. Really filling, too.
If you don't care about fat try making it with coconut milk. It's awesome.

I love oatmeal. I've been eating it since I was a child. When I was younger I loved adding a little sugar, butter, pinch of salt and milk. Now every morning for breakfast I make a cup of oatmeal with sugar, cinnamon, and I add sliced almonds. If I have fruit such as a banana or apple, I add a few slices as well.
Also, it was a secret ingredient! |

I tried the protein powder-in-the-oatmeal thing and it was horrible. Absolutely horrible. Tried it with an unflavored powder and also a Vanilla flavor.

Cream of Wheat is the only solution to grits, not oatmeal!
Oatmeal is a meal that you have to add stuff to it to make it taste like something good. I add turbinado brown sugar and cinnamon to mine and mix it with almond milk. With the right consistency it's good and it sticks with you for the rest of the morning. |

How have I not heard of savory oatmeal!?!
I prefer savory over sweet for just about everything. My wife thinks I'm crazy for putting cracked black pepper on my cottage cheese, but adding fruit to it like some people do seems fucking disgusting. Sometimes I add hot sauce too. Next week I'm going to totally freak her out with a fried egg and some peppers in a bowl of oatmeal. |

Just fold half a banana into it.
What I tend to do is do a medium-sized pot of steelcut oats with a bit of vanilla, cinnamon and bourbon and half water/half milk. Let that get nice and cream, and I serve with banana slices and a small drop of honey. |

Peanut butter + oatmeal is damn tasty,
Also, never have oatmeal by itself, add a banana or some fruit(strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.), sugar and cinnamon, at least. Also, danm those no carbs extremists. No carb works if you are trying to lose weight or gain muscle but if you are comfortable, it' the best breakfast other than bacon and eggs.

I not gonna go that far, but yeah, not appetizing, looks like Sofrito and over easy on oats, might taste fantastic, but raisins and brown sugar always did me just fine.

With steak, the best thing to do is season it with salt and tons of pepper - like a ridiculous amount of black pepper. Pat in the seasoning and then with a very hot pan with a little olive oil, sear the steaks on a medium heat, only flipping once, 4-7 minutes on each side depending on the cut and thickness. This should give you a nice medium rare which is the best way to eat steak, don't be scared of the pinkness of the meat. |

Exactly how to make steak, don't overthink, same thing with oatmeal and most cuisine in general. It's the reason I hate Chopped, no one will ever ask you to combine over easy eggs, sofrito, and oats, but I guess now if they do, you have a recipe on hand. |
