BTW am I the only one who prefers best of 3 formula? Matches at majors drag on forever, individual breaks of serve don't feel as important, the better player loses focus at some point and his lead, then it becomes the battle of stamina more then pure tennis skills. |

I'd rather see best of 3 with no tiebreak in a deciding 3. |

Yeah, some five setters are legendary with their multiple swings of momentum etc. But in early rounds, I'd prefer best of 3 because - a)this way I don't have to wait forever for matches I want to see, b) every point in a best of 3 matters so much more and both players are on the edge all the time, especially when they are threatened with an early round exit. Federer would never have his infamous lapses of concentration if he knew every point could cost him the match. I don't like switching channels between matches and would prefer to watch four players playing 2 different matches in the same timespan early in the tournament, to see more playing styles etc.
The final 2 or 3 rounds I'd be ok with best of 5 though. |

Hadn't seen much of the match but he was definitely pulling some nice backhands in the third set. I'm sure even Federer was surprised by a lot of them, maybe he could ask for some tips :p

*this is obviously an exaggeration. Murray should just end his career and do something he has fun with. Dude looks like me at work most of the time. |
