Or start up Skyrim alt+tab out and resume download. Then go back to Skyrim, ya get the best of both worlds my friend. Steam will initially stop D/ling when you start playing another game, but the alt+tab trick works around it.

No dice on that trick for me, I alt tabbed out but when I go to resume the DL I get a popup in Steam saying "Exit any running games before attempting to verify game cache" O_o

Got that same error, so I checked windows updates and it looks like I didn't have the service pack 1 update installed. I'm hoping this was the problem.

You have that backwards, my friend. Windowed mode takes up more resources than fullscreen.

This has been a complaint with multi GPU setups for ages on both nVidia and AMD. Not sure why people buy that shit when EVERYONE has sli/crossfire issues at some point.

dl speeds..so slow. I wish there was a way I could hog my bandwidth. I have a feeling the connection I'm sharing is being wasted on some torrent shit from the other users while they sleep. My speeds vary from 50kbs to 1.2 mbps.
