Sometimes you need to be sure they really want you talking to them. If there are doubts about what they really want, then it is best not to. Especially if she has a boyfriend. You could be potentially harassing her without even knowing it. Why I would leave it up to her to at least show me she has some interest in speaking to me.

Yes. We went as a group and there were other girls there as well, but she was practically with me the whole night and we didn't do anything date-ish as you said but it's still something right?
