A few things I absolutely hate about ASMR videos is when they are too deliberate with tapping or making noises intentionally. Also, if you are one of the horrible people who likes gum smacking, you should be shot. These horrible people making gum smacking videos are right up there with two girls one cup. You gross bastards.

I don't really get ASMR from sounds. More from physical stuff like someone accidentally brushing a few of the hairs on the back of my head, or lightly touching my spine, gently dragging the backs of fingernails against my skin, etc. I guess whispering does it too, but it's more the sensation of their breath on my ears.

Weird, I have these triggers too, but they cause frisson (that skin-tingling thing you feel during the good part of a song or emotional moments) not ASMR. I already said it before, but if someone is speaking close behind me, and I focus on their voice, I can physically 'feel' it in my head and skin in the form of a dull sort of tingling. I also get really strong frisson in my torso when I piss, which is a bit odd.
