Not sure why the trailer says Fall 2012 release when the press release says this Summer. |

The new character designs looks universally hideous. At least the core gameplay is intact.

It reviewed well in Japan, not sure how it compared to the original though. |

Calling this an RPG is really... Weird. There's no levelling up or stats. It's an RTS. You gather resources/money and upgrade your troops to new types.

Idk why it is called that but it is by major media outlets and gets coverage on the major RPG sites. There are a lot of NPCs and you do level up your class of people. So there are some light elements there.

Red Sun Gamer talked about how despite glaringly obvious issues with slow-down, it was still an enjoyable, addictive experience. He went on to say he wasn't too keen on the graphics either. Maybe someone else can recall more clearly the opinions he expressed.

I played the Wii version and honestly thought I was watching the Wii version when I saw an earlier trailer lol. So I don't know where this art thing is coming from. The game not art looks nearly identical to the Wii game. Are you guys referring to the concept like art that was in the trailer?

I'm more upset with the fact that the entire animu thing and retooling of the game's story and look feels like a way to cater to the masses. It's like the gigantic fad with adding multiplayer and co-op and brosplosion shootbang "Press A to Awesome" in lots of Western games.
The original was unique on all fronts, and this Vita remake is taking away a lot of that flavour. |

I'm surprised they remade the game at all. |

The launch week sales in Japan were barely higher than those on the Wii, and it basically dropped out the week after. Lifetime sales for the Wii version put it at around 26k there. I have no idea if the new style will make it a bigger hit than the Wii version in USA and Europe, but I kind of doubt it.
