Bamco probably thinks that North American fans of the series are blissfully unaware of what Xillia is, or what happens in it. Of course a sequel would end up spoiling the crap out of the prequel's setting, but I didn't think they'd make a sequel so soon.

I mean, look at Graces... it was mostly saved because of its combat/gameplay systems.
Dungeons, story, characters, world... all varied from awful to somewhat OK... and this is coming from someone who has been enjoying Graces so much (I am still playing it).

Baba says it is both a mothership title and a numbering title. So it is similar to ToD2.

Plus, I would never mock you. There's only a handful of poster's on Gaf that I would bother to mock and you're not one of them =)

it is a direct sequel it will be more difficult for namco to just ignore xillia , let's see what western namco will do regarding localization (especially by their current slowpoke level of jrpg localizatioon speed)?

option 1: localize xillia only
option 2: localize both game and bundle it for western release

I don't understand how the quotes they revealed even reflect properly through the ages of the characters. It's even more hilarious if you take it into context of the audience that Baba aims for with the Tales franchise. Wtf....

The main hero can use blades and hammers, for example. -The release date will be somewhere around WINTER 2012, but they are still deciding on the day and month, which I think will be settled on the 27th of this month.
