3D or not, they're horribly compressed, and don't showcase how the game will actually look like in 3D. Hopefully the demo is released here sometime as videos and info on the game haven't convinced me at all.

Never played the original, but i wont bother anymore with DSiWare titles on 3DS. A higher res version of the original would be enough for me to purchase a native 3DS eShop game.

Holy shit! The Last Blade is on VC!

Does anyone know if this version is censored in anyway like how the DC NA edition was. Evil Hibiki was not possible to get cause you couldn't perform fatalities on that edition.

I'm not so sure this would be the best way to go about it. A lot of people don't like it when games rely on DLC to provide the "full" experience like that, myself included. I'd think that it might be better to just keep it at a reasonable price (I don't see why $8 isn't reasonable, it's still a fraction of the price of a retail DS game) and maybe release a demo shortly after launch to gain interest and pull in people who may have been on the fence before. It's worked pretty well for Mutant Mudds, hasn't it?

It should be the US AES version, so if that's censored then this one would be too.

I wish NeoGeo games on VC were the MVS versions. :[

Sounds good. If there is a way to make the game a little easier I would greatly appreciate it. Also whatever you do content/price wise please don't sell something that amounts to a priced demo with the rest of the game available only through paid dlc. That would suck.

I want the normal mode to be five times harder.

If you must include an easier difficulty mode call it something insulting and make fun of the player every minute or so for not being able to handle it.

If it's a little cheaper and has a similar art style to the DSi one, count me in. I've heard great things about the DSi one but the price & the fact that it's DSiWare (you know, DS mode & resolution) have made me decided to skip it. I'll gladly support a 3DS version!

Despite the shape of the base there is enough width there that one of the two starting pieces that isn't the triangle can be placed on end i.e portrait rather than landscape and still be a secure base. If you are careful with the balancing you should be able to continue that theme and manage it. I just re-did this puzzle for the sake of this answer and actually got to the goal line without using the last piece. The puzzle would not give me the satisfaction of completion until that last piece had been placed and the whole structure had stayed out of the water for the count of three, of course, but that was not a problem by then. It did however bork the puzzle by me hitting the 'top' of the screen with the last piece because the camera had not zoomed out to give me room, of course :x

If you wish me to state the order of pieces I used I am happy to but hopefully you shouldn't need it with the above :).
I missed this post in all the Kokopolo hype, lol. Thanks a lot, I figured it out! :D

I don't understand this either. I mean, yeah, the games aren't going to be as clear as 3DS games (unless you boot them up in native resolution mode of course), but other than that they play just fine. There are a lot of quality DSiWare titles out there, too. If you refuse to buy DSiWare games, then you're missing out on a lot of good games. Don't say there isn't enough content on the eShop if you're not willing to buy what's available.

For some games maybe, but for others no way. Zen Pinball is crap compared Pinball Ancients because the 3D gimmick in Zen forces all of the table onto one screen whereas Pinbacl Ancients utilizes both and there's never a struggle to make out any part of the table/action. No need for stupid zooms that remove your ability to see your flippers. It also helps that Ancients as a table is better than any in the Zen collection. There's too many gems in the DSiware library to ignore.

Speaking for myself, I don't buy DSiWare unless it's an absolute must-have simply because I already have more DSiWare than can fit in my 3DS's internal memory. Therefore every piece of DSiWare I buy on my 3DS is one more piece of digital software that manages to be far less convenient than needing to carry around/change cartridges.

And while I still have my working DSi and love the screens on it, I prefer my new handheld games to work on the system I carry around with me all the time.

I have this problem, too. Probably more than half of my DSiWare is tucked away on my SD card, unable to be launched. It really sucks that you can't launch DSiWare from your SD card. That said, it's not really that much of an issue. I just put the DSiWare that I've finished, have no use for (for example, the multiple clock/calculator apps that I have), or that I'll get around to playing sometime later on my SD card, so it's really not that much of a hassle. I don't really think it's much of an excuse to not buy any more DSiWare, unless you already have tons of DSiWare or something.

Also, while I won't deny that you can't beat the look of DS/DSiWare games on the DSi XL, I prefer having my DSiWare on my 3DS so they'll be recorded in my Activity Log. I actually buy my DSiWare on my DSi XL, and then transfer them over to my 3DS, lol. (Mostly just so I can see the Pikmin moving my data again. XD)

The main reason why I don't buy DSiWare is that the majority of my portable gaming is done on the go (transit, having a coffee...) and DSiWare prevents me of using StreetPass at all. It's just plain inconvenient.

As mentioned already, DSiWare is just not convenient on my 3DS. Also, I am content that I already own all the major titles worth downloading. Considering this, and the fact that games don't even appear visually optimized on my new-gen handheld, I have lost interest in the format.

Okay, that I totally understand. I feel the same way. I don't use software that disables StreetPass when I'm out and about either. I hate the fact that I could be missing out on potential StreetPass tags. I have no problem playing DS and DSiWare games at home though where the only StreetPass tags I'd be getting would be from my boyfriend and our roommate, lol.

Fair enough, but this game only came out in August of last year, so anyone who thinks they own all the major DSiWare titles but didn't buy this game needs to reevaluate their life.

I didn't buy this game because my 3DS is full, and have always hoped that skullomania would work his magic on 3DS. Lo and behold, the opportunity is here. I won't bother reevaluating anything, thanks.

Whoa whoa whoa...I had never tried this. I always assumed it was a one time transfer. Although, my original transfer was from. DSi. I wonder if I can transfer from my XL, only because it is a different device than NY first transfer. Hmm.

I wish there were some hope of Nintendo updating the 3DS firmware to allow you to launch DSiWare from the SD Card, but I think that's a lot cause...

Heck, it'd be nice if they updated the DSi's firmware for this as well.

Apologies if this is old news.
I'm not sure Joystiq is correctly reporting anything here. I think the flow was something like "Lots of games are getting digital releases" => "The 3DS is going to see major support over the next year" => Slide of games. Not saying these games won't get digital releases, I'm sure it all depends on the contract terms and how much Nintendo encourages it, but I don't think that slide is conclusive.

So, is that the long-awaited sequel to the acclaimed Gon Baku Baku Baku Adventure?

This is what I believe as well considering that slide is basically the major 3DS titles for the rest of the year.

I'll get starting on it right away! :) :) :)

Thanks everyone! :) I'll keep you updated with screenshots and character art (new bosses etc) as soon as they are ready!

Yup, it totally works! And it doesn't matter what DSi/DSi XL system you use, how many times you use that system, or even how many different systems you use. You can even transfer DSiWare to multiple 3DS systems (by that I mean you can split up your DSiWare between multiple 3DS systems, not copy all of your DSiWare to multiple 3DS systems). I actually gave away some DSiWare apps that I didn't want anymore to a friend by transferring them to their 3DS instead of mine.
