There's going to be a ton of characters in this game. It looks like they're choosing to reveal them not by status but by play style. Radec, range specialist. PaRappa, close range melee. Sweet Tooth, heavy hitter. Sly Cooper, quick and stealthy. Kratos, obvious. Now a Big Daddy, I'd imagine powerful yet somewhat lumbering.

Pretty straight forward why they would do it. Even if it slightly dilutes the perception it is a 360 brand it is worthwhile especially if they go further with infinity (something at e3 this year? Dlc?)

It takes time to turn the perception around but they should at least be trying.

That's what people want though. They want characters that they are familiar with because they have followed Sony since the OG PS. They want those characters both new and old, to be in a game together. Not just some random mash-up of characters from east-hell just cause they had a brief stint on the latest console in an age where 1st party games are becoming fewer and far inbetween.

Most people are expecting this game to be like 80-85% Sony-Exclusive characters, similar (but not entirely) to how Smash was done, and you see how those games were received. Sony has the potential character roster, I just hope this game doesn't end up a dissapointment due to trying to please the masses by giving them what you think they want and not actually just giving them what they do want.

All the third party characters you have to choose from, and you pick the icon of a series that was exclusive to the 360 originally, and (iirc) sold like shit on the PS3 anyway when it did come over. What the fuck. This just cancelled out the optimism I had for the roster that Parappa had given me. This is making me start to worry again that they may just try to shove in a bunch of currently popular characters that have nothing to do with Playstation. This is making me think that the retarded James Bond rumor may actually be true. I wouldn't even be surprised to see Soap from CoD or something now. Fucking shit. I was already super skeptical about their KO system, but was holding out hope for a really solid roster. Now I'm just really skeptical about the whole game.
