This was kinda expected, Sony is more open to 3rd party gaming online infrastructures [Steam, CCP's F2P shooter].

No it doesn't. Blizzard isn't going to release a game which would require non-standard peripherals. If it comes to console, it'll work with a controller, and probably only a controller.

Diablo 3 with it's AH system and mouse and keyboard integration makes sense for PS3.
Microsoft has always been real stingy about allowing anything of the sort on XBL.

Still, I can't imagine Microsoft denying Blizzard like that.

We wouldn't, although we might suppose based on Microsoft's inflexibility regarding their network. (see: Steam). Also, I sort of called it, and this makes my prediction of a Vita version even more likely...
