Ah, just in case it wasn't clear Cyclops was the villain of this event, he now wanted the Phoenix to bond with Hope even after she didn't want to.
So like only Wolverine, Beast, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch get the "congrats on having a brain" award for mutants after this is all said and done. I like how this is just using the Phoenix in the exact same way as the dumb HAMMER POWER UPS from Fear Itself. This event is fucking terrible. |

But this is such a weird and stupid twist. Why do you set things up like this Marvel? You go on and on and on about how this little girl is like Jean and connected to the Phoenix . . . only to give the Phoenix to Emma Frost again? Emma Frost is part of the reason Dark Phoenix ever happened! But you can bet the Shi'ar aren't gonna hunt her family down. |

I'm just glad X-Factor manages to slip by these events unless PAD wants to get his hands dirty.

So colossus is the most powerful entity on the planet right?
Organic Steel + Cytorrak + Phoenix force all they need to do now is have him siphon some of the power cosmic from the silver surfer. P.S Im still gonna get the last AvX book, even though i probably shouldnt |

No, keep the god damned pandering and token mentality away.
Create NEW minority and gay superheroes and get them over instead of trying to be cheap and use existing names to try and grab headlines. It can be done. The indies have been doing it here and there for a while now. Oh, and Gambit is awesome. |

With Gambit they took a character which was imo fantastic from Uncanny 266 and on into Jim Lee X-Men days, and whatnot and then they got him wrapped up some really stupid story lines with Apocalypse and some of the others.
And I agree that they really do not know what to do with him now. |

Jubilee is another character that nobody knew how to deal with and now shes a butchered beyond repair. Hopefully Gambit can slip back into the shadows of the reserve roster before something really screws him up.

yipes. Jubilee can be fixed. just say she got over the vampirism. Gambit? he's just there. there isn't anything to him. no background, no motivation.... no nothing. he needs a foundation other than a french accent and a blue purple uniform with a trench coat.

so a character can be cured of vampirism, and still be the same one note, and thats ok, but another can come back from being apocalypses right hand, and the rules dont apply to him that applied to the other?

Jubilee now is about as far as you can get from her core character. She had suffered a lot of hardship growing up an orphan. And yet she still remained hopeful and spirited. Now shes an angsty Wolverine and a fucking vampire no less.
Curse you, Stephanie Meyer. |
