Cool, the character animation looks kind of shit but what do I know about zombie games.

I hope.

looks like a budget title I'd pick up in a steam sale.

Looks worse than Condemned, which was around the 360 launch.

I dont think it looks as bad as other say. It's about on par with Dead Island when DI is indoors.

it's no Uncharted, but it's hardly too human.

Graphics look decent at the moment, but they certainly still have time to improve them. I am always game for another zombie title.

Graphics look mediocre, game looks interesting.

Not committed to buying, but hey, hopefully it will be good.

They'll supposedly show a new build at GamesCom with improved lighting and shit.

Source? Haven't seen anything on an updated build, good news if so.

Visuals look alright, but the gameplay seems unique enough that I'm pretty excited for it. Forcing the player to look away from the action (TV screen) to look through objects should create a very tense atmosphere. Actually like that using the crossbow indoors seems so impossible too.

Haven't spent much time with any of this gens Zombie offerings, so this should be fun :)

Don't remember the source. It was posted on GAF last week.

I seem to remember you saying this in another thread and getting proven wrong, and lo and behold you're back!

Anyway, gameplay looks solid, hopefully they can polish up the graphics before release.

You're very much mistaken.

I had never heard of this game before E3, and I didn't comment on its graphics then.

Tech-wise the graphics are middle-of-the-road but I think the atmosphere is spot-on. And more importantly, the game looks like a truly unique take on the zombie game that actually tries to be a horror game and put some real pressure on the player.

Looks worse than Condemned 2: Bloodshot that came out 4 years ago.

Sorry, my database of things that people have said which have since been proven wrong is missing a few entries.

As soon as it was stated that when you die, you start over, I was sold. THEN YOUR PREVIOUS SELF IS STILL A ZOMBIE!?!? Holy crap. This game won me over as fast as Dragon's Dogma's Demo did. That's a good thing. It's likely still in dev but I can't say I really care about the graphics as long as the atmosphere is right and the suspense is good. And judging by the video, I have nothing to worry about. What would be even cooler is maybe if your friend's former selves could end up in your game if they didn't manage to kill it or something. And I'm LOVING the interplay between the controller and the screen, inventory management, aiming, scanning and the minimap, the clean, empty on-screen UI.

This might be great. Just saying...

This was my initial impression when they first showed it at E3 but since then I have really warmed up to all the unique gameplay features.

I agree with all of this. In a sense, the graphics even have a kind of utility to them; They're shocking enough when they need to be, but otherwise un-flashy, in a good way, so you can focus on the business.

When I first saw this game in screenshots I wrote it off as a game to pass on. But Once I saw it in motion at E3 and got some hands on time, I was pretty impressed. It was like a toned down Left4Dead. It was more like the old resident evil pacing as opposed of a constant fire fight with an onslaught. This was something i personally preferred. Also was impressed with your character becoming a zombie in the level right where you died, when you respawn. Thats just cool.

Visually the game looked good. Not the going to win any awards, but good enough. I thought some of th interior environments looked very nice.

It was Killer Freaks before this E3. Which speaks wonders of this game's development cycle so far to go from this to what it currently is. Leads have apparently been going on and off the project as well.

Ya, this is one of those games that absolutely needs a playable demo.

It doesnt look that bad.

And Condemned 1 on 360 reminds me how much the graphics improved with other games further along in the console life.

That's because devs were getting used to the next-gen (at the time) hardware. Wii U game graphics should progress more similarly to how Wii games did.
