Resident Evil: Retribution Full Theatrical Trailer #1

YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoyMT-7wEqs

Cast: Milla Jovovich (Alice), Michelle Rodriguez (Rain Ocampo), Sienna Guillory (Jill Valentine), Oded Fehr (Carlos Oliviera), Li BingBing (Ada Wong), Johann Urb (Leon S.Kennedy), Kevin Durand (Barry Burton) and Shawn Roberts (Albert Wesker)

Looks deliciously trashy. Day 1 Complete global saturation, etc, etc.

Kind of sucks how these movies totally don't evoke memories of any of the games. May as well be generic monster slash film with Mila Gogovich :-/

Having said that I'm sure it'll make tons of money.

I find them to be creepily accurate to the games in some ways (costume designs, fight scenes, setpieces and monsters exactly matching those in the games) but it throws all those elements into a blender along with some new stuff and mixes it all together.

At this point I just want to see which character they manage to mess up the least. So far Chris sucks, Claire looks too old, Jill was meh for me (I know many people love her though).

Yea, it's really terrible.

It looks like their even recycling events from the prior movies too. :/

The most recent one was actually pretty fun. In fact, it was one of the first 3D movies that used the technique effectively.

The films actually nail the cheesy theatrical villain aspect of Wesker perfectly.

Wasn't she married to James Purefoy in the original. Why would she suddenly have fake memories of Carlos being her husbando? Also I watched this muted so I don't know if it is explained in the trailer. I'm not watching that filth with sound on.

I don't understand how you guys enjoy these movies. They're not good enough to enjoy, and they're not awful/trashy enough to enjoy. It's just this tedious middle ground.

Yeah i remember the 3d effect was awesome in the movie. That and Avatar are the only two films that really made the effect work for me. 2 and 3 where terrible though.

The one scene I loved with 3D was the zombie appearing from behind. 3D + depth of view = awesome.

Pretty much. Even when people claim "only the first one was good..." No, that one was shitty too, they just get shittier after that one.

The movie franchise doesn't actually bother me too much. They are pretty much high budget direct to dvd movies but released in theaters. I think whoever writes this is pretty aware of the plot traps they got themselves into with Alice. The last movie removed all those weird psychic powers she had early on.

And I'm also a little confused about the Tokyo, New York and Moscow thing. I thought the world was pretty much overrun already? Meh, whatever. Not like I'll be watching this in theaters anyway.

And to be fair, Milla usually looks pretty good in these. Sexy costume designs for an original character. And Capcom didn't do a better job of representing the franchise with that terrible CG movie, Degeneration. That might actually be worse than these.

The "apocalypse level" of the world seems to vary from movie to movie.

Here's where I get really confused—didn't the third movie basically say that most of the world had become a wasteland? Or was that just the Las Vegas area?

I don't have a clue what was happening in this movie, is it me being slow, or is the plot just a bit ridiculous.

Did none of the events in the last 4 movies actually happen.
Are they clones or something
Is she captured and being forced to relive events in a simulation of some kind.

Seriously wtf is going on lol
