#1
![]() ![]() IMDB episode list The Bots and the Bees - S07E01 - June 20 2012 Planet Express gets a new soda machine and Bender impregnates it. Bender's son Ben is born - however, due to his mother not having arms, he lacks his father's talent in bending. After drinking too much Slurm Loco, Fry starts glowing. A Farewell to Arms - S07E02 - June 20 2012 The crew discovers a Martian calendar predicting that the world is going to end in 3012. Indeed, typical end-of-the-world things begin happening. Because electrical power has ceased to exist on Earth, Zapp and Kif have to use a pyramid spaceship left on the planet by the ancient Martians that runs on snakes. A Fry and Leela prom takes place. Decision 3012 - S07E03 - June 27 2012 Richard Nixon's head runs for a third term as president of Earth. Among the candidates running against him is Chris Travers, a senator from Hawaii. Leela becomes Travers' campaign manager. However, his campaign encounters difficulties when his opponents point out that his "Earth certificate" is missing. Travers must win the election, as terrible events will occur in the event that Nixon wins. Bender will finally get to fulfill his wish to kill all humans, leading all robots in a revolt against humanity. This revolt will lead to a bleak future where the last remnants of humanity hide underground in fear. The Thief of Baghead - S07E04 - July 4 2012 Bender takes up photography. He is the last non-digital photographer on Earth, using film due to his preference for the look of film grain. He attempts to photograph Langdon Cobb, an actor called the greatest in the world. Cobb always wears a bag over his head due to his desire to be known for his acting and not his looks. Calculon challenges him for his title, and the two partake in the World Acting Championship, an acting contest to the death. Meanwhile, the rest of the Planet Express crew have their life forces removed. Zapp Dingbat - S07E05 - July 11 2012 Leela tries to seduce Zapp Brannigan back away from her mother while her father dreams of surfing the great sewer waves of the world (halftime at the Rose Bowl, Dublin on Saint Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras and Rio de Janeiro). The Butterjunk Effect - S07E06 - July 18 2012 Amy and Leela become addicted to "Nectar," a nutritional supplement that boosts their performance in the future sport of Butterfly Derby. Fry is sprayed with the pheromone of a giant male butterfly - which makes him irresistibly attractive to Leela and Amy. To be continued. Quality wise, I'm hopeful 7A will pick up right where 6B left off. Season 5 (The Movies) - weren't that great. Season 6A - was meh. Season 6B - had some really great episodes, with some not so great episodes. Some of the episodes last year renewed my faith that the writers still had it in them. We'll see how this season holds up. |

Don't like the sounds of the birth certificate episode nor the 'world ends in 3012' episode... would rather they not outright base episode plots off real world happenings. it did not work out well when they did it last season (Both in Parts A and B. Ugh that Susan Boyle joke was just awful).

Eh, seems like there is more of topical episodes. One thing why I fall in love with Futurama was the very fact they were in future, they could go nuts with the stories. I wouldn't even mind the topical stuff if it wasn't so dam obvious. Oh well, last season had some great episodes and plenty of duds and from looks of it this season will be about the same.

Okay, okay, I think it's stupid that they retconned Bender remembering his birth and now have him impregnate a soda (vending?) machine, but they DO design supah kwute wobots babies.

Bit, but not much. There's a few clear examples (Bender just after he was built was full size, but there's the baby Bender w/ Hermes in S6) but none that I don't think people are happy to overlook. I think that even a few they've actually called themselves out on it maybe.

I have been rewatching S6 this week and it really is terrible season. Even the good episodees don't hold up that well, Evolution episode just felt so dumb on my second watch. Late Philip J Fry was still awesome! Topical episodes were really awful and they really should consider not making them. Prop 8 and Killer App episodes were just fucking awful. There were some gems for sure but they are not something I could watch over and over again like with some older episodes.
