Hopefully I can get this week one or at least the week after, really great timing as there is nothing else compelling coming out this summer for ps3 seemingly, well until p4a, but still, I need something to keep me busy.
It looks like its has excellent production values.

Played it for an hour. I'm liking it so far, but can't get over two things: North is in NorthWest in the grid (so you have to press Up to move NW, and Right to move North) and item limit that you can carry is only 10 (maybe this can be augmented).
Still, the game looks fun. Will definitely play more. |

Leveled just up to level 4 so I'l post some impressions before playing on.
Way to early to tell really but the presentation is ace and the menu is very slick. Playing on normal and adventures setting for the hidden benefit. (whatever that is) Not much strategy in the gameplay at the moment but the potential is there. back to playing |

I sunk a few hours into this last night and it is very addictive, excellent value for money as well. The ability to upload your statistics is quite nice as well - http://www.rainbowmoongame.com/profile_4601.html

This game is great! Got hooked and am already up to 20+ hours. My team is up to around lvl 20. This game is a bit of a slow burner since it takes quite a while until the gameplay gets fairly complex. But wow, once it gets going. Totally in love with this game.
Had to force myself to quit and get something to eat, been playing for 12 hours straight now with just coffee and fruit to eat. Long time since I got this involved in a game. No one else playing this? |

I have no PS3, but just got a Vita; if they port it, I'd love to give it a shot :)
Wonder if there's any hope for that? PSP was full of RPGs, so I'm sure there'd be a good market for it. Maybe they'd even impliment the "buy 1, get both" Cross-play... |

Im about 5 hours in. im about level 9. lol
It's a good game. Nice art style, simple story, Doesnt take that long to get pearls. Seems there is a cap on your stats until you next level up (You can only level up stats with rainbow pearls so much per level) So buying DLC isnt really worth it by the looks of things. Prob be a big help later on though. Flashy special moves though. Cant wait to do the awesome over the top stuff you see in the trailer. |

There is a ring in the DLC that doubles the XP you get from monsters - this one is worth it for power leveling, I think. :)

You think so? Personally I have found the pacing so far quite good. You just need to get into the next area's all the time so the enemies drop more xp. So far I haven't even felt the need to use the optional random fights. I am just exploring everything and destroying all critters on the world map.

Not sure why people are butt hurt about the DLC.
a) You don't even know what it's for or how useful it will be yet. b) The game costs $45 less than most other SRPGs I can think of. If the game has as much content as, say, Valkyria Chronicles or Disgaea and it's possible to play it for $45 less, or hell even $15 less, then why would you complain? Makes no sense. So in short, chill. |

Played 2 more hours last night went to the east of Caesar instead of the west and found little island with what looks like an optional dungeon which gets progressively harder. managed to do the first level at level 9. but the enemies are level 20 on the second level. so will have to come back a bit later. bought the rainbow pearl pack for trisha and baldren. Doesn't really make things any easier cos of the cap on pearl levelling.
the xp ring is mighty handy. dunno whether to swap it about though as he gets twice as much XP as her. Her ring gives double coins. once you hit level 10 you can do 3 turns a go with baldren. that certainly makes things easier. |

Rainbow pearls are plentiful later on(~lvl20). Have two characters that have everything but mana and health maxed out.(I ignore those) Every time they level I just max it out again with pearls to spare.
Money to buy skills and gear is the real sinkhole. But doing ok there as well. |

This game is addictive, but it's very difficult to argue that it's actually good.
