Does anyone else really enjoy hearing people eating? I do
#1
So I noticed recently I really like to hear people eating. I told someone this and they said they hated that sound.
For me it is extremely calming. I am currently listening to people eating while I do my work. I found a lot of youtube videos to fuel my interest. Am I the only one? Try these on for size. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P9jH...ature=view_all <- Chinese noodles with meat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xx-4...9B08BC159C33EA <- Funyuns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWtC18tZSZ8&feature=plcp <- chili, veggies, chips and gummi bears http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2LKr...9B08BC159C33EA <- starbursts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPKKD...9B08BC159C33EA <- Dorito Locos Tacos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PYW0...9B08BC159C33EA <- Pasta with meat sauce http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOH_4...9B08BC159C33EA <- Burger king ( whopper and onion rings)

my roommates are the loudest fucking chewers I've ever encountered. It's like pigs at the fucking slop and for some reason they can do it with dry food to. A bag of chips sounds like they're eating fucking soup.
I don't get it. It's absolutely terrible, I can hear it from across the house and I always need to turn my music up a bit louder or throw on some headphones. It's so goddamn gross. I would rather hear that deuce dropper than a chewer. At least when the deuce is dropped, it's over. I don't need to put myself in the situation anymore, but you have to hear people eat because it's usually a communal thing. Unless you're a communal shitter than I can live with hearing a poop splash and a grunt every once in awhile. |

MT, rarely do I disagree with you I find but this strikes me as really strange.

Follow-up: People who chew with their mouths open. How do you get to adult-hood without learning that that's not acceptable? It's so frustrating dealing with them because, even though you are correct and it is impolite to chew with one's mouth open, you will be seen as the bad guy for bringing it up; then they'll only correct their behavior for 5 minutes anyway.

Agreed. Getting upset at someone who chews with their mouth closed is straight up neurotic.

We always make jokes how westerners don't like eating because they eat as silent as possible. Those aristocratic manners must run deeply in the society. Edit: somewhat beaten. |
