To go with the name "Microsoft Glass", what if their tablet was literally a slab of glass. As in it is completely translucent (maybe with a bit of opaqueness) and when you turn it on it acts as a tablet. Sleek and futuristic. Apple would probably cry.

People definately have low expectations, I can't wait to see what this ends up being.

I think this event will introduce a major partership with a harware manufacturer, and spotlight their flagship W8 tablet for the fall/holiday season.

Making a Microsoft branded tablet at this point would go counter to their whole mobile strategy. They need HTC, Nokia, Asus and Dell making W8 tablets. Throwing their hat in the ring would not be the best way to incite major OEMs to adopt W8 as a tablet OS.

But hey, this MS we are talking about. Who knows what zany thing they could pull today?
