So two Dback relievers got to bat today and they each got their first career hits. So good.

Hopefully the Pirates aren't in those trade talks.
Only player I'd be down for the Pirates trading for is Starlin Castro (We need a SS sooooo bad), and it's not likely that the Cubs will trade him. I'd rather ride out our recent string of success at the plate, and stick with what we've got internally, then make a short term trade for some old bats that may or may not get us over .500. I was sort of hoping our batting continued to slump so my boy Starling Marte would be called up <3

That doesn't sound very Pirate like I would expect them to give out a filler player and take the contract just like they did with Burnett. I don't think Youk is worth a 2nd tier prospect.

Youkilis is an old broken down piece of meat that doesn't play the game the right way. I would offer him Fuentes and that's it, just so Billy can finally get him. The most the Sox should get is an MiLB reliever and them moving some of his salary.

Frank, they just showed the Clevelander dancers on the Marlins post-game, they looked more like Junkanoo/Caribana dancers than strippers.

Directly responsible for those 2 Royals runs. :D
But it's still nice that we don't have to trot out Shane Robinson and Adron Chambers in the starting outfield anymore. Now if only Berkman can come back healthy, then the offense would be back in business. |
