Nintendo Direct 2012.6.22 - Jun. 21, 11PM EDT #1

NCL has announced a presentation by Satoru Iwata tomorrow, Jun. 22nd at noon in Japan, covering games coming to Nintendo platforms and news on Wii and 3DS. It will focus on 3DS details for Japan that weren't given at E3.

The presentation will last for 53 minutes, and will be followed by 11 minutes of trailers.

11:57 The presentation is about to begin. I will be typing in Nintendo's UStream feed above, which will be posted to my Twitter account, which I will copy here every few minutes.

12:00 The presentation has begun. Iwata's head pops up in Brain Training style.

Dr. Kawashima's head also shown. Brain Training was developed in a short time.

Apparently rendering Iwata in polygon style required a lot of work from the dev team.

The last Nintendo Direct at E3 talked about Wii U, and 3DS would be discussed another time.

E3 is a trade show focused on the North American market, watched world wide.

Iwata apologized for the Japanese audio problems on the video feed at E3.

Super Smash Bros. is being developed with Bandai-Namco Games/Studios & Project Sora.

Sakurai of Sora and Kobayashi of Bandai-Namco will give a greeting here.

Fatal Frame Wii 6/28, 6800 yen.

12:05 Kirby 20th Anniversary collection introduced. 3 modes.

Kirby 6 games: Dreamland 1 & 2, Adventure, Super Deluxe, 3, 64. Challenge, history modes.

Kirby collection to include soundtrack CD. 7/19, 3800 yen.

Drawing for Kirby pink cushion with Club Nintendo registration of Wii Kirby games.
