I've just got a Samsung S3 just because I moved countries and needed something so jumped in with little research.
Generally like it but man... the battery life (seems to) suck. Also, I've never used a touchscreen before (have exclusively used BlackBerry - for work reasons) so my fat fingers are still struggling to get used to 2012's (2010?) methods! I'm sure it'll come in time. Also, now that I'm back home I've finally downloaded Angry Birds. Clearly I'm way behind the curve but I think I'm enjoying it a little too much. |

For about 2 years I had a super cheap Ł49 pay as you go Nokia T505, it was great to carry around uni.
Last 9 months I have had a Samsung Galaxy Ace (on a 18 month contract for Ł15.50 per month) and it does it's job well enough, it will play the radio, check my emails, browse the net and make phone calls and text messages while I am at work in the evenings and nights. I do plan to upgrade to the new iphone once the contract ends around december if possible, it will cost more per month but I would prefer it. |

![]() Motorola Droid. Over 2 years with it now and I fucking adore it. Only thing is that it's gotten slower as devs have worried less and less about things running on older phones so over time updates have made a lot of apps worse for it. Hoping to upgrade soon to the S3, but if something prevents that I'm going to get the Droid 4 for DAT KEYBOARD. |

This is what I'm using. Even though it's not the best smartphone on the market, I love it. Going from an old Nokia to this is so good. I'm not tech savvy but it has everything I'll ever need. I was lost yesterday and when I clicked on the map and tracked my location via gps, I squeeled like a little girl.

I had that phone. The front screen stopped working after 3 months, but otherwise, it served me well for 3.5 years.
I typically keep my phones for 3 years, so I have only had 4 cell phones since 2001. All from Motorola. My current phone is a Backflip that I will probably keep for another 6 months. My next phone will NOT be a Motorola. Seriously regret buying the Backflip since Telus has locked me into Android 1.5 even though the box promised 2.0 compatibility when I bought it... No success in adding custom firmware after rooting the phone either, since the NAND chip seems to be faulty. |
