This is the first time in a very long I have felt screwed about not being a PC gamer. Oh well, good to see deals like this popping up.

I promise I'm not being cheeky, but you should pay even less attention in the future.

I am far from being one of those folks who appear to derive a significant portion of their self-worth from the size of their GPU, but it's pretty clear that PC games absolutely murder console games when it comes to pricing. This is just another example.

Anyway, I already have Max Payne and the Darkness, so it's really a matter of whether I want to make time for Spec Ops. The demo was pretty ho-hum for me.

I tried searching for Galactic Civilizations 2 on the digital games part of Amazon, but I couldnt even find Crusader Kings 2 with your search... Anyone know whether Amazon offers Galactic Civilizations 2? There are many people waiting on a steam sale for that, not sure whether Amazon even has it though :/

I was in the same situation a few days ago. I bought the game and just started playing. To me the game seems great so far. Like the graphical style and the the dialogue and overall tone of the game seems less stilted and up its own ass than the first one (which I still really liked).

Considering you have never played 1 and 2 go ahead knock yourself out. But if you did play MP1+2 i would of told you to avoid as its not a proper Max Payne game. Expect shitloads of cutscenes and gameplay lasts at 5minutes tops before encountering another cutscene.

Well, MP3 IS a proper max payne game. I'd recommend doing this: IF you're a fan of the game, you should play it in hardest difficulty possible. this is the only right way to play MP3. otherwise, play it in normal which seems to be designed with casual gamers in mind.

Yeah I've been seeing that more and more often. That's basically a large reason why I'm considering building myself a gaming PC and consigning my consoles to the "only use for exclusives" bucket.

I just got sign of from Paradox to re-issue Steam Keys via email for Victoria II and Sword of the Stars Complete Collection to everyone who purchased the original Plentiful Paradox Package.

We'll likely deliver these via email, since it is a Friday though it probably won't happen until early next week. I'm hoping to have emails out before the holiday though (4th of July).

Edit: Just wanted to agree with the post above, great work Tony. Even though I'm outside the US it's been good to see Amazon bring some competition lately to Steam and a lot of the deals are very well priced. I think offering Steam and non-Steam keys where possible is definitely a good strategy, it lets people who don't like Steam buy the games and gives us Steam users a good option, so it's the best of both worlds.

I just hope Amazon UK can get their download service sorted soon, it seems to have been rumoured forever at this point, last I heard though it's been delayed again - outside of the US I think only Germany has game downloads at the moment.

I'm another one who passed on DA2 but now that it's dirt cheap I am interested. However, I know there are some DLC for it and I've always kind of told myself to wait till it all gets bundled together. Yet that still hasn't happened anywhere. I guess the fact that it never happened for Mass Effect 2 either does not bode well for it ever happening.
