So I picked up a copy of AC: Revelations from BJ's with a sticker on it saying it includes a free-copy of the first game on the disc. Even though I don't like the first game that much I decided to pick it up, and when I put the game in my console I noticed that when I tried to select the first game from the XMB it says the content has expired... I don't understand, I thought the copy was free? Do I have to enter a code? It was included in the disc.

I am pretty sure that the game is loaded on the disc and you would have to install it. If its expired then u gotta contact Ubisoft I guess

IHU's right, you have to install it from the disc, it doesn't actually run off the disc. I wish they had mentioned that somewhere, because the icon looks like a link to simply play the game, and then I sat there for forty minutes while it installed.

I have no idea about an expiration, though.. I'd ask Ubisoft what the deal is with that if the game doesn't install correctly. Either that, or just take your system offline temporarily, change the date to right after ACR launched, and install it there.

I thought I had to install it as well, it actually looked similar to the 60 minute trial of the first AC. No matter what when I tried to select it, though, it connects to the Internet and says the content has expired. If this was a special offer during ACR's launch, then why still sell this copy? Oh well, I'll try the advice. Thanks guys.

I'd let the mods decide, problem with that thread is I don't think all that many people actively monitor it. If you have an urgent issue it may be a while before anyone responds.
