It's weird that we both use twinkle twinkle little star for the alphabet song even though Zed doesn't rhyme with anything. The origin of the American pronunciation of z probably came from trying to get the song to fit better.

The Brits have some of the most unappealing names for good food.
But yeah, the picture of the British "scone" is just a biscuit. America does those incredibly well at Chik Fil A, KFC, Bojangles thousands of diners across the country, and in any number of Strawberry Shortcake recipes. We get shit backwards with our Brit brothers and sisters. Chips to them are fries to us. Cookies to them are biscuits to us. Fannies to them are vaginas to us. What a wonderful world!
