TV Shows That Would Make Great Games #1

Playing through the Game of Thrones RPG recently, and generally being disappointed at its shoddy quality made me feel glad that I hadn't ever played such bad video games based on some of my other favorite TV shows... until I realized that I had, in fact, never played video games based on live action TV shows.

So this thread is to have a bit of fun: what TV show do you think would convert well to a video game? I understand The Walking Dead was made into an episodic adventure game, but this thread was more for retail games based on live action TV shows, marketed and sold via traditional channels.

I'll start- I think Lost would make a pretty good game. It's got a good setting, the show's structure can have a series of games being made, plus

It can have a whole host of villains. Other grunts, Benjamin Linus as the boss, Charles Whidmore's grunts, Charles Whidmore himself as a boss. The smoke monster can be used for some Prince of Persia: Warrior Within-esque Dahaka chase sequences. The time traveling can be used for some dual world/cause effect mechanics like in Zelda games, and each character can have specific strengths and weaknesses. The game can be structured in a non linear way, with you having the freedom to switch characters and tackle his or her missions any time you want, though the order of missions for a specific character will remain fixed. Also, there can be side missions and quests like hunting, building and maintaing shelter, etc etc

What TV show do you think would do well as a video game?

PLEASE KEEP ALL PLOT ELEMENTS WITHIN SPOILER TAGS, IN CASE PEOPLE HAVE NOT SEEN THE TV SHOW IN QUESTION.

24 should've made a much better game than it did. Alas.

I'd love an adventure game based around the UK TV show 'Hustle' - or any show/movie about con-men, really. I want an adventure game where you're pulling off elaborate cons and heists.

The Walking Dead.

On consoles though. Arma II DayZ mod sounds great but my laptop has a bitch fit with pretty much any game.

Edit: Waterloo road in a Persona setting? :/

I would love a good X-Files game. One that could give the scary or creepy mood like the firsts seasons.

Yes, I do know that there was an X-files game but it was horrible:

I want a good story driven, old-school, scary X-files game.

This. I've always wanted this. Those types of shows and movies are really fun and I think a game in that style done right would be even more enjoyable.

However, I believe the time has come for P-Com.

Core mechanics remain the same. World map(s), base building and team management is carried over almost directly. The universe is shifted from a UFO/X-Files styled influence to the Fringe styled universe. Enemies don't fall from space they open doorways from a Parallel Dimension. The developers can have free range to toy with game mechanics. The PD setup allows for multiple factions of both the friend and foe variety (and multiplayer.) It allows simultaneous attack and defense. It is Yin and Wang.

wait what
Attaching a niche genre to an even more niche television show is a recipe for success. It will sell like gangbusters.

Watch Dogs? Not really, but sort of.

My vote goes to Supernatural/Haven/Warehouse 13. Supernatural could make a good game what with the combat, hunting, etc. and Haven is pretty similar in gameplay build. Warehouse 13 could be a globetrotting artifact hunt, complete with Tesla guns and artifact abuse.

Also, Burn Notice. C'mon already.

An X-Files game, but done in the style of Heavy Rain.

Hell, I'll take anything X-Files at this point. Just started my 15th rewatch, so anything new would be welcome.

Lost hating? I thought that shit died down back in 2010, once the show was over and you didn't have to hate on it to show your distaste for mainstream media.

Obviously it never came to fruition, but I always wondered whether it was entirely vaporware or if some prototype or at least a design plan ever existed. The only other clue I have is that I'm pretty sure it was going to be published by Taxan.
