Will Shenmue 3 EVER be released?
#1
It's always the brunt of jokes when the trademark "secret" announcements are made and whatnot from Sega and Yu Suzuki, but I'm asking realistically, is there any viable path where this game will actually be made and released?
Maybe not within the next few years, but what about 10 years from now? I mean why I'm wondering is we've seen times where a company like Nintendo has brought back the Kid Icarus IP like 25 years later and the Donkey Kong Country IP back almost 2 decades later. Do you think it will happen? Pipe dream? Maybe it's just my undying love for the series nagging at me. I can't let it go T___T |

Let it go already... Sega can't afford it.

There should be a www.hasshenmue3beenannouncedyet.com website, with the big words "no".
The day it gets announced would be glorious. |

I thought about that for a while and wondered if it would be a good move for Sega, with the recent financial issue.
TBH, as a fan I would like to see it but from a business perspective, I don't think it would sell that well. So no, I don't think Sega will or should release it. |

They have the right engine, but no. If they release first two titles digitally and they beat Journey and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition sales records, maybe there's some little chance. But that's a BIIIIIG 'if'... |

Shenmue 3 is old news. It was released in 2005 under the name Yakuza.
