As a tourist there, I never had any feeling of danger myself, even in the night. Oh, and I strongly raise my voice for a Galway visit. Such a nice town! |

Hope you enjoy Dublin Evil, lived there while I went to Trinity College, nice you see you visited there and Checked out the Book Of Kells. If you can make it to Galway you enjoy it, my home city its fantastic and since much smaller than Dublin, its a little more relaxed and far easier to get around, train ride should take about 3 hours from Huston Station and theres regulars buses from Bus Arás

What another insulting the Culchies. Evilore have you been down O Connell's street yet. Its the city's main street not too far from Trinity College. There the Millenium Spire, I think its still referred to as the syringe by locals. Unfortunely your too late to see the floosie in the jazcussi

![]() It's ugly. We should've put a monument with some actual symbolism there instead. |

The best nicknames are "the binge syringe" and "the skewer in the sewer."

I'm so sorry and all my excuses to everyone feeling offended. Last time I was there was in '93. My memories must be distorted. ;-)

Enjoy Dublin, as previously mentioned food is very expensive but a lot of places do good early bird menus; The Pig and Heifer up on Wexford Street does a great club sandwich and Rick's on Dame Street steams a good ham. If you fancy it there's plenty of good shows on in the theatres around the city. It's probably also worth taking the DART out to Howth to eat some fish and maybe travel south to Dun Laoghaire or further to Bray, go to the amusements!

Yeah, pretty much a 360 degree view, and it's one of the tallest buildings, if not the tallest. So yeah, great view.

Much, much, much needed nap and shower accomplished. Heavy rain now, so I'll be hanging out in the hostel common area until it's pub crawl time in an hour or so.
Everyone's so quiet! And speaking German! Hrm. Will do. |

Oh yeah. Germans and Australians. They travel hard, man. They will be represented everywhere you go.

EviL is visiting Galway?
Been living here for some six months (Cork previously and before that Paris). It's a very nice city in my experience but the weather's utter shite here at the moment, like terribly bad even by Irish standards. It's usually pretty sunny compared to say, Cork. The Volvo Ocean Race event is on until the 8th, I live right next to the main event area but I haven't bothered visiting after work due to... the rain ^^. Subbed. |

Haha. Next time, if it's dead silent just yell confidently "könnt ihr mal alle die Fresse halten?!" (Could you all shut up already?!). Classic German humor, always works like a charm for me.
