Under normal circumstances I would agree with you. Considering how Nova left off in The Thanos Imperative though it makes no sense.

Well simply put, in terms of the 616 universe it -should- be impossible that any Nova can exist until Richard Rider somehow returns. Any explanation otherwise is going to be dumb and make no sense in regards to what we know about the Nova Force. I'll also add that what we have seen from the Sam Alexander character so far leaves a lot to be desired and is completely cringe inducing so him becoming the new "main" Nova is a horrifying prospect.

Actually, DC does that shit too, now that I think about it. The whole "One Year Later" stunt was just so they could have a "Superman Returns" type story around when the movie came out.
These dudes are so fucking insecure it's ridiculous. |

It's based entirely on faulty logic. They see how many people go to see the Marvel films and go "why can't we grow the comic market and have all of these movie-goers read their new favourite characters?" The problem with that line of thinking is that comics are, and always will be, much more niche than movies. That is the line of thinking though, unfortunately. The core of Marvel's business now -is- the films. They just make way more money. Everything is transitioning to that and starting in 2014 we are getting at least 3 movies a year. I am sure eventually it will be 4-5 a year.

The funny thing is, they're actually destroying what it is that's making them all that movie money. Doing awesome stories in the comics allows them to adapt those stories to the movies (ex. the rumors about Extremis and the Winter Soldier for the upcoming Iron Man and Cap movies), but then when they get successful movies they rush to make the comics more like the movies instead of continuing to make awesome stories they can make more movies from. It's so stupid.

![]() Looks like everyone's getting a new costume except Sue and Logan. Not keen on some of the changes (example: why in the hell does Thor need dual swords too?). Scott looks terrible in red, give that red back to Tony. :\

Black and Gold Iron Man makes me think of MAINFRAME from MC2.
Don't mind the new Cyclops (though the X Visor is a bit tacky), and I really like the Future Foundation outfits so I'm glad they seem to be sticking with that style... but man, otherwise they're pretty shitty across the board. |

I am very iffy on all this. Very very iffy. Greg Land on Iron Man for instance, blegh. Worries of Remender being spread too thin.
One thing I will say, is if Scott's X-Men all don red, while Wolverine's go for traditional blue and yellow on everyone again, I will be very pleased. Bring some fucking cohesion back to the teams. Everyones a goddam Avenger now after this hits I guess, but X-Men and Fantastic Four/FF members have a goddam uniform. |
