Playing Havok up to the big leagues? Yes.
Needs more Iron Fist though. I see him nowhere on this list and it worries me. |

Pretty funny how he's been fairly relevant in cannon but gets so little attention. Marvel finally got gambit back into the mix only to make him some kind of a fucking walking punchline who gets duffed in the face by every tom dick and harry who happens to be around. Really disappointing for me personally since i was a huge fan of the gambit solo book and he is still one of my favorites.

Considering this is all probably going to be catastrophically terrible it is probably a good thing he is spared from it. Marvel is still making new comics other than these though and Iron Fist is a semi-popular character. I wouldn't worry about new things coming out with him, they will.

Got to say though, while not a Cyke fan that outfit is pure garbage. Want to see more of Thor, he still has the amazing armor like design and looks like his hair could be shorter along with the new blades. Also I always hate it when they add black to Iron Man. Really just wish they would stick to War Machine for blacks/silvers. That said I do prefer War Machine so it could be me being jealous. |

With the wholesale creative bankruptcy in Hollywood and funnybooks I'm wondering when these Titans will fall to make way for the new Pantheon? A smart and hungry competitor could cut them off at the knees by embracing digital as the monthly format, go inexpensive, and use that to subsidize trades in print. In a way an Western take on the Japanese format where weeklies are printed on cheap recycled paper, read, disposed, and the tankouban is the format readers buy to collect / keep. The $3/4 digital funnybook is destined to fail. Your retailer pays $1.50-2.00 for their books, and Diamond pays even less than that. Why is digital being hobbled by a broken distribution chain, other than to pacify the direct market. Which could still exist in the healthier comic market I'm suggesting, only now they'd sell trade paperbacks and whatever back issues they have to the weirdos like me who prefer their funnies on dead trees like a vinyl music nerd or something. |

What really bugs me about the constant rehashing of characters is that it's just so unecessary - especially with the X books. There are so many damned beloved characters. Kid Omega, Surge, Majik, Stepfords, Dust, (fill in your favorites) that get a brief chance to shine until their creators move on, then they end up blown up off panel or crucified on a front lawn somewhere and it's back to the same shitty stories about Wolverine.
I'd love to see Marvel let the old X-Men "retire" and they just not allow the old characters in the books at all. No guest appearances, no nothing. Just newer characters. See what develops. Blah, blah, Wolvie books sell. Well, you don't know what else will sell because you throw out developing characters before they ever have a chance to really be anything more than sidekicks or red shirts. |

So Marvel and DC are stuck rehashing the shit they own because they refuse to change their ways. At best they'll pay a creator lip service, but cutting them a percentage of the profits from the creation? Unheard of! If Disney / Marvel gave Jim Starlin just 1% of the profits from the Avengers, he and his offspring would be pretty well set. It may be inevitable that these companies will topple in time as a new generation embraces the digital distribution model. |

I think the reason everyone is wearing power armor now is because business people saw the box office ticket sales of the Iron Man films and noticed that Gears of War and Halo are two of the hottest game franchises so now every character has to be armored up. Thats why Superman and Hulk now look like there ready to enlist in the space marines and kill some locusts.

I don't see any problem with that. Marvel has tons of these status quo shake ups but never throws continuity out the window, One More Day aside maybe. The new status quo is always a result of an event or overarching universe story that builds towards it. I vastly prefer this to DC doing a complete reboot that clearly didn't and maybe even still doesn't have a fleshed out game plan. The George Perez stuff was really telling. I was slowly starting to read more and more DC titles but the New 52 completely killed that momentum for me.

Supermans suit is a krytonian ceremonial armor and he wears it in memory of kryton, it makes a lot more sense than his original suit. THe rest of the new 52 arent actually wearing armor, the seams you are seeing are ummm seams where sections of material meet....it just kinda looks armored cuz comic readers arent used to seeing seams in costumes, its supposed to be more realistic. Hulks "armor" is just retarded and im curious how they are gonna explain it, I take it they arent completely rebooting so that means Hulk is still going through stay angry right? Im guessing banner made it since banner has been dressing hulk is more appropriate clothes recently....but armor?...Why would he care when he knows how indestructible hulk is? I am insulted, surely you mean kill the mutant, the heretic, the unclean |

Maybe Hulk's "armor" isn't armor at all... maybe it's some sort of restraint system that Banner or Stark or whomever designed, the purpose of which will become clear when we get more information.
And there's nothing wrong with "my mom made it for me." >:| |

Even though Rucka is pulling his usual (write a female MC or if not create a female character to throw in) bit that he always does, his take on Frank is amazing. So quiet, intimidating and efficient. Love Rucka in Anything he does.

Also, those status quo shake-ups are usually just marketing fluff. They can rename the books 20 times, but Bendis Avengers is still Bendis Avengers. Same with Brubaker cap, Fraction Iron Man, Hickman Fantastic Four, etc. This seems to be a major creative shake up. Probably the biggest shake up since the early 2000s.
