Jack in the Box introduces new Breakfast Waffle Sandwich #1

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/bre...oxr-2012-07-05

Quote:
Available for a limited time beginning July 5 at participating Jack in the Box restaurants, the Breakfast Waffle Sandwich features a fried egg, American cheese and the chain's new country-grilled sausage stacked between two lightly sweetened maple waffles.

"Jack in the Box is combining three popular breakfast choices -- waffles, egg and our new country-grilled sausage -- to create a distinctive, craveable sandwich that is easy to eat on the go," said Tracy Dunn, director of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. "Our new Breakfast Waffle Sandwich is the perfect balance of sweet and savory."

Jack In the Box is barely fit for human consumption.

Good commercials though.

I actually had Fried chicken with waffles and gravy in LA but I couldn't stand the idea of maple syrup with it so didn't go full on. It was quite delicious though.

Even if I felt like I was going to have a heart attack after.

If you are counting calories, your first mistake was going to JitB.

I just want to know how many of these I need to order to meet my daily caloric needs. I could get 2 in the morning and then take the rest of the day off.

Didn't Dunkin Donuts offer the same sandwich recently? Maybe it's still on the menu. Either way, it was terrible because the waffle didn't have any texture. It was as soggy as a piece of bread.

This reminds me of how I used to use blue berry waffles as hamburger buns. They tasted great but I hita wall when I tried to combine waffles and pizza. The little squares held too much sause and it became mushy in the microwave.

They had the waffle sandwich idea at Dunkin Donuts also. But instead of egg and cheese it was sausage and something else.

My daughter only likes Eggo waffles, so I have a couple of boxes of other brands languishing in the freezer. I've started using them as bread. Sometimes it makes for an interesting sandwich or burger.

I guess it only makes sense. McDonald's has their McGriddle things which are basically little pancakes as the buns, so why not waffles?
