Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider

Oh wow, another ChiTownBuffalo thread about Korea.
Why don't you start a live Starcraft video feed on battle.net, ChiTown? Show me your Galbi. Do they have teeth marks on them from all the Asians who've nibbled on those ribs? WE GET IT. |

They are still doing it. No matter if it doesn't sell, gov. will subsidise it. BTW why do Japan and Korea even bother with the scientific research bull? Iceland and Norway just ignored all the IWC treaties.

As long as it's small amounts of species that are known to reproduce at fast rates, I can't be too mad. I never ate whale meat, would probably try it once I'm in Iceland... I have no illusions, will probably taste like chicken and not be worth the price.

A ChiTownBuffalo thread without heavy handed "OH BTW KOREA" just wouldn't feel right.

They say it's more like beef actually, or horse if you've tried that.

I can't really think of any whale species that reproduce at fast rates, they all have pretty much 6+ month long gestation and only 1-2 young at a time.

I will likely be visiting Korea next year to visit friends. I'm torn on whether or not I would eat whale if offered, but if I do it better be the tastiest seafood I've ever had in my life.

I think it is a bit hypocritical of the australian prime minister to be condemning other nations for the animals they eat. In Australia, the harvesting of koalas just to eat their testicles to make our national dish of koala ball soup and similarly the harvesting of wombats to make wombat stew is just not acceptable. Those poor nutless gumtree inhabitants of the bushland. Australia should be ahsamed. Bloody tasty though, like really upmarket chicken nuggets, stuffed with lobster.
Kujira tastes good, gojira not so good. Please stop shark finning instead. At least we use 100% of the whale. |

One of the arguments if that they often bycatch endangered species, isn't it?

oh wait, he dead. His species extinct. First they were eaten, then the last of them was kept in prison as a 'reminder'. Death was his release. Fuck humans. |
