Sadly having Ep 3 ready in the middle of August and having all three platforms agree on a simultaneous release week are two different things though as proven with Ep 2.
It's been up for 24hrs already. I bumped the Ep 2 thread yesterday as soon as I saw it. (I was checking twice a day Haha) |

Maybe some should update the episode 2' release thread? |

So I still can't buy 1 episode to try it out...
I'm sure Spartan Eps won't have this problem... fucking Microsoft no doubt. Whole thing is sloppy as hell and undermines the entire episodic format. |

Not really a great incentive to buy up front is it? If you wait to the end you get a sale, probably a free episode to try before you buy and you can play at your own pace. Only thing you miss out is the zeitgeist.. which is ruined by staggered releases.

I started playing Episode 2 and couldn't remember what happened in the first one or the characters. The "Previously On" segment didn't help much because, again, I couldn't remember anything about the characters flashing on the screen. I think I need to start over but if it's going to be another two months (let's not kid ourselves - mid August is going to turn into a late August/early Sep situation), then I feel like I might as well just wait until the entire series is out to start up again.

I had only one very slight hitch in the Euro PSN version and that was a very short freeze as my character exited a door, then suddenly appeared about 20 steps from the door he walked out of. Aside from that I found it the same quality as Ep 1. Perhaps the Euro version was already patched because I definitely didn't download one upon my first load of Ep 2. |

Keep up the awesome, Telltale. I'm not a huge fan of adventure games, but really love what you're doing here.
Just please watch the bugs. When loading up a save that was half-way through episode 2, it bugged out and reset my checkpoint back to the beginning of episode 1 :(

I was afraid that this would happen to me, so I deleted my Ep.1 save file to force myself to play through it again, and be fresh for Ep.2. I'm really glad I did as it makes the emotional investment you put into Ep.1 carry over into Ep.2 so you're not scratching your head trying to remember why you saved\or didn't save someone.

It gets better as it goes on, but I ended up dying twice during the opening couple of chapters due to the poor performance and it not registering my inputs in time. |

PAL version didn't have texture pop-ups, only slight hanging while scenes switch. Technically, and in all other ways, this episode was superior to the first one. Much darker too.

3 hours for each seems about right. If the last 3 are that long that's a 15 hour game you have right there. And each one is only $5 (or $20 for the season pass) so I'm not sure how it's not worth it. Plenty of people blow more money on much shorter games.
