Came here to post this. So tasty and easy to make
My mom also used to make pesto with basil from our garden. Love pesto, esp with gnocchi

I can't choose one. I've learned to make some extremely nice pasta dishes, thanks to fxcuisine.com, that have become my favorites. What makes them more special is that these aren't pasta dishes you see in Italian restaurants (outside Italy). They are:
Beans Pasta (sounds really simple, but the combination of herbs makes it amazing) Pasta in Squid Ink Sauce Pumpkin Penne

I really adore gnocchi but I never thought they were considered pasta. I always though they were like Italian dumplings. Also, if we add asian noodle dishes to the topic it gets way too hard to choose. I love Italian pasta dishes but yakisoba, mee goreng, and pad see ew might give them all a run for their money.

![]() My favorite pasta ever (not type but individual bowl) would easily go to a generous helping of baby clams, cooked in a light white wine sauce richly layered with garlic and basil. The pasta was perfect. One of my top 5 meals ever. |

Is it the texture or the flavor? If it's flavor there's a lot of types of pesto besides regular basil pesto. I personally prefer sun-dried tomato pecan pesto or a roasted red pepper hazelnut pesto.

I just don't like the smell of it, which is weird because I don't mind basil on it's own. I think it's just the quantity.

I actually adore basil and will add shitloads of it to any pasta or bruschetta, however I don't tend to like basil pesto as much, so I know what you mean. Grinding it down to a paste with other ingredients just seems to cover up its taste.

I had Cajun-sauce wagon-wheels with my mother for dinner this evening. Caked with a spicy Cajun sauce, with andouille and scallions/pepper shavings on the side. So delicious.
My favorite? I honestly don't know at the moment. Pasta is definitely my favorite starch category, though! |

I won't choose. You can't make me choose. I love them all! My top picks, if I must, are as follows (in no particular order):
Shrimp Scampi Chicken Alfredo Spaghetti and Meatballs Baked Ziti Ricotta Stuffed Shells Ravioli (all varieties)The spicier the better. |
