A giant charred edge T-bone steak, and fettucine alfredo...um...somewhere under it.

Haha, I'm the same way! I've never met a pasta I didn't like. Not that I can remember anyway.

Some stuff I really love:
- Pesto.. I usually like it on rotini because it holds the sauce so well!
- Macaroni and Cheese :D
- Spinach Lasagna
- Gnocchi
- Vodka sauce, and arrabiata sauce.. although sadly most arrabiata sauces make me ill nowadays. (My stomach is sensitive to peppers, especially since I had my gallbladder removed.) Oh yeah.. puttanesca is good, too...

I am curious if any of you guys have some kind of killer pasta recipes to share with us.. ;)

Udon noodles, tofu, scallions, mushrooms. I don't know what it's called but I call it ramen and it's delicious and easy to make.

Get some pancetta. I'm quite sure you'll like it better.

^^ also pecorino romano instead of parma...

My most common pasta is a kind of bastardized amatriciana though..

Tagliatelle alla Carbonara.

I love trying carbonara in new places. I think the strangest one was on a trip to NYC, me and my gf wandered into an Italian place and it came with added peas and onions. No other place I've been to has done that, and it wasn't all that bad!

Anyone here like angel hair pasta? Probably one of favourites in terms of firmness and texture.

My favorite as well. It's amazing, and a cinch to make. This thread inspired me to go make some, but I'm out of eggs. *whomp whomp*

Gnocchi alla vodka.

When I don't feel like making sauce(s) I usually just throw something simple together;

-garlic
-olive oil
-grape tomatoes
-basil
-goat cheese + parmesan
-hot, cooked pasta noodle of any style

Simple and tastes amazing. Only downside is that if you're conscious about limiting the oil content, leftovers don't keep well.

How did I forget to mention ravioli?! Put meat in dough and I'm a happy camper, though I don't care for the cheese varieties.

I also adore pappardelle with a really good wild boar ragu.

Also, if you're making pasta at home... for the love of all that is good in this world... learn to make your own sauces. Please.

Don't act like it's hard. It's not. It's a brainless process made even easier if you have a slowcooker.

Don't fucking buy Ragu. I die a little inside everytime I set eyes on that vile shit.

I recently went to my friends house to check out his wii. I was generally impressed. It was larger than I expected though.

Why not make your own? It's probably one of the easiest things to make as a beginner and still have it turn out really good.

I burn toast. So I only ever buy it in powdered form.
