New No Doubt Single: "Settle Down"
#1
Well it was a long-time coming, but it's finally here: Iconic 90s band "No Doubt" has finally moved forward with their often-delayed new album and dropped the first single.
![]() (Click the awesome album art to listen to the song streaming at their official website) The song is 90s ska updated for the noughties and with a dash of Punjabi for flavor. In other words, it's classic No Doubt and an incredibly fun song for the Summer that doesn't have a HINT Euro-Dance, Pitbull or Flo-rida. So sign me up. The video for the song premiers later tonight. |

I really enjoyed this song (and video). And yeah, the only song on that album worth listening to IMO. |

I guess the magic is gone. Loved them in the Tragic Kingdom, Beacon Street days, but this is more towards their Rock Steady days (yuck).
It just sounds like they could have labeled it another Gwen Stefani album instead of No Doubt and people wouldn't know the difference sound-wise. Sounds really over-produced.

Seems kind of unfocused, I guess. But I still like it. Can't wait for the album.

This album will have PLENTY of horn-work.
The second webisode detailing the creation of the album. If you can't hear the classic No Doubt sound in "Settle Down", you can DEFINITELY hear itin the some of the records you see them working on in this video. EDIT: Hilarious Youtube comment from the video I linked:

Kind of boring tbh
It starts off interesting and then fizzles out |
