Why is he giving his own testimonial? He's the goddamn CEO of the company. His testimonial is worthless.

Microsoft would be the biggest fools on the planet if they don't have a Windows RT tablet with pen support announced or on the market in time for the back to school rush. I can't believe Microsoft is selling pen support as a Pro only feature for their Surface tablet line. Maybe Samsung will save us.

Any mention of the mac version? Excel on mac is terrible. It cannot handle large files without coming to a crawl. Especially when filtering.

If you're immersed in the MS ecosystem, SkyDrive is likely going to provide a better experience.

I'm fully Dropbox right now, at 200GB. Feeling out Google Drive, seeing whether it might better integrate with my business.

I have no idea what's better in Word/PowerPoint/Access (except for Ribbon, but some people don't like it), but I really like some of the improvements made on Excel 2007 and 2010

They are finally using GPU acceleration(i think, based on FRAPS counter showing up..) and scrolling thru massive documents is buttery smooth. Nice.

Powerpoint seems to have new, really elegant looking templates and transition effects. I like it.

I don't get why hyphenation is still not working out-of-the-box and i can't download my native language dictation pack. sigh.

Yeah that's all fine, it's just being integrated in with 365 (at least according to The Verge review).

Just carry on and it'll download at some point.

Has Microsoft fixed the interface so that it isn't hard to find shit like it was in Office 2007 or Office 2010?

Worse if you ask me. This flat Metro design makes it even harder to identify icons or buttons. Everything looks the same!!!!!!

Desktop Metro is growing on me. It's still not as perfect as on Windows Phone, but it makes Windows 7 and even other OSs look old.

Windows 8 still looks a bit weird as a concept, but I like how they finally make it a bit more visually appealing.

Trying those previews now.

I ended up manually syncing them by exporting them from the website, but is there an easy way anyone has discovered to sync your Live contacts to Outlook? This might only apply if you use Live account but don't use a Live email, otherwise they may sync fine.
