On my few months on NeoGaf I think you are responsible for now 2 of my favorite posts on this website. Congratulations. |

But correct me if I'm wrong, but CFA had nothing to do with this anti-gay support day, right? I suppose CFA could have disavowed it, which would have helped their image perhaps. |

But if I eat at Chick-Fil-A while knowing about this topic, am I spitting in the face of gay people? I certainly don't want to do that. |

People can eat where they want and do what they want, but I'll take the symbolism of their actions to heart. |

Everytime you eat at Chick Fil A, you are supporting an organization that gives millions to groups that want to treat gays like second class citizenship. Not just through marriage. These groups don't think gays are fit to be teachers.
Why don't you educate yourself? It usually works out better in the long run. |

Right. He OPENLY admitted to it. Most don't. Because it's stupid.

Ding ding ding. The majority of non liberal opinions on this board will be flamed, and many users with those opinions won't be around for long. So those that agree with the majority of society will keep their mouths shut on this forum, and those that shout loud and proud liberal will be allowed to say whatever they want as long as it promotes that agenda. That is how you end up with a board that is completely out of touch with the majority of the country. Welcome to GAF!

What about a business that donated to pro Palestine, non-terrorist groups? EDIT: I think its interesting that firefox spellchecked Palestine and made it a capital letter.

I'm actually what you call an independent. I know it's rare, but there are people like me who actually think for themselves and don't let political parties tell us how to feel about issues.

I think there is a difference if someone goes into this topic, knowing what is going on and are flaunting the fact that they're eating and enjoying the chicken KNOWING what it represents. Rather than saying they've enjoyed it in the past. Some people seem to be taking the controversy as this REAFFIRMS their love of CFA, that is, BECAUSE of their anti-gay stance they like it more. In general to avoid misinterpretations I wouldn't overly mention it on GAF should you choose that course of action.

This is not a liberal or conservative value. It's human rights. |

Time to add Syria to the list of shit that has nothing to do with the issue at hand. |

Yeah, for me gay rights is very much in the classic libertarian tradition of getting the government out of our lives. I think it appeals to my more conservative impulses if anything too, I view marriage as an important social institution, it's just one I would like equal access to.

Well, most don't donate to anti-gay organizations period. That's because the vast majority of them don't want their businesses associated... with anti-gay organizations. This guy thinks it is not only okay, he's making public donations to these groups in CFA's name with CFA revenue. That is literally why this topic exists.

I don't intend this to be a religious discussion, and please don't make it that, but I think this is exactly what religious people believe. Not all animals, but some. Like cows and fish for example.

I'm just going to assume you stupidly did this in every single thread on every single message board on the Internet that doesn't have anything to do with Syria. Not just this thread. Right? You did that today, right? If you create a thread about Syria, I bet you'll find that people in this thread might even show up and prove to you that some folks are capable of caring about more than one thing at a time. That's amazing, isn't it?

I mean, I kind of agree. That people can push so strongly against basic civil rights for everyone and force this into the realm of current affairs is disgraceful and embarrassing.

There was a thread just a few days ago about how awesome Chick Fil A's shakes are. Nobody gives a fuck if you eat at CFA. Just don't come in here with the "HERP DERP! This food is good. I don't know why you guizes have a problem." bullshit.
