I think there is a difference if someone goes into this topic, knowing what is going on and are flaunting the fact that they're eating and enjoying the chicken KNOWING what it represents. Rather than saying they've enjoyed it in the past. Some people seem to be taking the controversy as this REAFFIRMS their love of CFA, that is, BECAUSE of their anti-gay stance they like it more. In general to avoid misinterpretations I wouldn't overly mention it on GAF should you choose that course of action.

I think the issue is that in THIS topic the subject has been about the gay rights aspect and CFA's support for anti-gay causes. So people are coming into this thread with the PURPOSE of celebrating CFA not merely because they like the food but to celebrate their support for anti-gay causes. I think THAT is the distinction here. My guess is if people mentioned it more casually in different threads and different contexts and weren't quite so blatant about the purpose of doing that the moderation team wouldn't care as much but that's mostly a guess and I won't speak for them on that point.
