Part 3 of Mega Man 7 is up. I never really liked the over-sized sprites for this. It makes some of the platforming and jumping over enemies like Freeze Man harder than it needs to be cause Mega Man's hitbox isn't pixel perfect.

I'm not really sure what these are supposed to be accomplishing. They're playing well known games, but don't seem to really know much about them, so it's not really a traditional lets play. And they don't even really seem to be offering much of an opinion on the games either. I guess it's just straight goofing off?

Well, while I like JonTron's videos a lot and the other guy does not seem that bad at all, I think these GameGrumps videos are bad. Mainly because of what others have said:

This feels way too forced. It's just "Hey! Look at us, we'll talk in silly voices and swear and laugh at every thing the other says! We're so wacky!"

I think there's a difference between content creators (such as GiantBomb or these guys) who go on to make "LPs" vs people who make "LPs" simply because it is the easiest way to make content. In the case of the former people just want more of the content creators they've grown to love, so they don't care if they are being lazy.

This stuff is really dumb, but it is much more charming than the usual stuff.

To me, the important thing for LPs are good personalities talking while they play, and I think you and Pat nail it. I absolutely love your videos.

Totally. This is totally how my roommate and I talk when we're playing together. We've actually been thinking about doing LPs for a while, but we can never find something that we feel comfortable enough playing for an audience.
