The Crowe narration version is far superior, why didn't they post that one?

Snyder is terrible but this doesn't feel like one of his films at all. I came away utterly impressed and I'm damn excited to see more.

Needs more shirtless boys on fire
We are wired to cheer for the underdog ... hard for superman to be the underdog when he can take a bullet close ranged to the eye and the bullet get smashed =P Because of that, it is really hard for writers to write an interesting Superman story ... wich is why the stories were he is less powerfull (like All Star Superman) or were he is not exactly the hero (like ... Red Son... i guess) are fan favorites |

I hate Zack Snyder and I think that Superman is a poor character that you pretty much can't make a good movie out of, but that was a good trailer.
Very good even. |

Well, I had kinda written off the possibility of seeing a good Superman movie, but that made me think it's possible.

I didn't notice him moving his arms forward at the sonic boom before.
Not a great teaser, but I like Clark hitchhiking. The temptation to fly must be great. edit: Jor-el trailer is nicer.

Why did you watch the teaser or enter this thread? Are you a masochist?
My hope is that Brainiac is the villain of Man of Steel. He's the one villain that has been retconned to be part of Superman's origin story. It would be perfect.

He is actually much more powerful in All-Star Superman. You don't know what you're talking about.

Footage looks surprisingly "earthy" and there's none of the superglossy Snyderness. Kinda excited.

As the only person on the internet who hasn't committed Lord of the Rings to memory, the music gave me chills.
As for the ship, it's pretty obvious he's working on it, not that the Kents were Fishers. And as for the hitch hiking, I'm gonna go with this movie being a soft reboot and the kryptonite island from the last one robbed him of his powers temporarily. Or they're doing a pastiche of that awful story where he walks across America to connect with the common man and his country. One of the two. Also, Superman is cool. He is the embodiment of everything that is good and noble about humanity. Anybody who doesn't like him has deep-seated issues. |

The average movie goer will have no clue that Snyder directed this. They will only remember Nolan's name in the same way Jerry Bruckheimer overshadows directors.

What makes Superman such an appealing character is not his power, but how he uses that power, and how he constantly has to restrain himself. He constantly has to be mindful that he is seen as an icon to regular people. He's a symbol of hope.
I personally don't really get the hate for Superman. Then again, my father is a huge Superman fan, and I grew up on the comics and the Donner movies. |

The visuals in this look amazing. I really hope it is consistent throughout the film. The shot over the Kent farm with the fog was beautiful.

Why are everyone speculating about the plot? I thought it was confirmed that it will revolve around Clark's life before he decides to become Superman.

Loved Watchmen Love Superman I think I will love this movie when it comes out, this teaser was really good but the ComicCon one was better than the entire Superman Returns movie, God that was incredible. |

I like Superman. He's like the guy you want to be but never can. He does the stuff you know you're too weak to do and not just physically but morally too. I like Mr. Boy Scout.
I guess some people find that unrelatable or are just jelly. IDK. |

General public don't know about Prep Time Batman =P
But simply the fact that he is a HUMAN makes him look way less powerfull than any other superhero.
He has some kind of ....mortability that makes him look less powerfull |

When in the movies did Superman had to restrain himself? And note how they have to de-power him in some way on every movie to create some sort of real conflict, they were never able to build a compelling narrative around his restraint (and I'm not sure that they ever tried). |
