In order to develop the Fox Engine, I had to understand how things worked elsewhere, so for a year and a half I visited studios around the world, and since we are Japanese people we were able to see the way others worked and recognize that in many respects their methods were better than ours.
That's an interesting quote. Poor translation or Kojima's pride in his people? |

And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.

August 30th? Sufficiently hyped.
Wish I knew. I find it refreshing. |

Very interesting news. Hope its MGS5 or some continuation of the series, I have all the games ready to go for a play through, i'll probably get around to it just before this reveal
Anyone else pick up on the ''PS3 was quite a complex system" could be reading into it as he's talking about the development of MGS4 but its interesting he wouldn't use the present tense - could be a reveal like Watch Dogs etc game intended for next gen I can't imagine it would make much sense to release MGS5 so late in the cycle |

Indeed. People talked so much shit about MGS4, but it was a very competent game. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's been over over four years now, and not a peep about the next installment, save for it using the Fox engine. Makes you wonder how far along it is.
