Sour mash whiskey. Maker's Mark (classic and 46) and Jack Daniels Old No. 7 are the bottles you'll usually find me pouring.

It's good, but not worth the price IMO. Where I get it, it's around $40 versus the usual $26-28 or so of most big brands (Beefeater, Tanqueray, and Bombay Sapphire). I could do without the rose flavouring personally, it makes it too perfumey, just keep the cucumber and I think it'd be better.

Gin is just that good. Perhaps when you're a little older and your palate changes a little bit, you'll realize that vodka tastes like the love child of industial waste and organic chem lab solvent and is essentially a waste of money aside from its role as a cocktail mixer and you'll move on.

This is probably my favourite right now. I appreciate a good whisky.

I also really love some:

When I just wanna pound back drinks as fast as possible and get drunk I roll with dark Rum, of any kind. I like the taste and it settles nicely in my stomach.

Unfortunately the comparison isn't all that far off. That is, it's not horrible quality stuff at all but it is overpriced on the virtue of marketing itself as something it is not.

Bro, skip the Grey Goose. It truly is the BOSE of vodka. Ketel One, Chopin and Belvedere are better and smoother.
A good/cheap mixer vodka that I prefer to grey goose is Absolut.

Eh, I think it's worth it. The price is still annoying, regardless.

I agree with the rose flavoring sentiment to a point; sometimes it's nice. The cucumber hints are really the best thing about it.

Ketel mixes better, Belvedere (and supposedly Chopin) is just as good if not better straight. I kinda grew out of vodka so I can't say for sure.

Again I agree Grey Goose is terrible. Not as terrible as Absolut but terrible nonetheless.

Fun Fact: Kirkland Vodka is basically Grey Goose(Bottled at same distillery) so if you like that flavor you can get it for a lot cheaper.

That's what I heard, and Google seems to have all the related things also be about the UK. I don't remember it tasting different the last time I had it though admittedly it's been a while since I bought a bottle.

Lagavulin is pretty reasonable at Costco.

Another stupendous scotch that is a little cheaper is Laphroaig

Seriously if you have never had it and love scotch grab it the next time at Costco. For $30 you will be kissing my feet.

I absolutely loathe pretty much every tequilla(To many times tasting it on the way back up).

The only thing I can stomach is DJ 1942 and thats only if my friends will be kind enough to let me have a sip

I have a very specific routine that leaves me without hangovers.

-Long Island Ice Tea x2
-Vodka Martini
-Black Russian

Sometimes if it takes me a long time to drink all that i'll have a shot of tequila. But generally that's my daily limit for booze. When I get home I'll drink a fuck ton of water and I'm good.

My favorite booze would be Kettle One Vodka and Don Julio. My fav mixed drink is a strong Long Island ice tea (not that weak premixed applebees bullshit)

lol @ Grey Goose. Stop wasting your money.

Quote:
First I served frozen shots to the group in a blind test. Grey Goose, Absolut, Belevedere, Ketel One, and Popov. One, the Ketel One drinker, successfully picked his brand out of the pack, but only after considerable angst and anguish, so much so that I made the group repeat the exercise. It seemed like he guessed and got lucky. In the second pass, none successfully picked their brand.

if you freeze it/run it through a brita a few times it's all the same
