Someone said we're wack!
Why would they say that? I don't think we're wack. Who said we're wack? Who said we're wack? I can't believe that. They must be smoking crack, To say that we're wack. Say that we're wack? You'll probably get smacked. If you say we're wack. Did you say we're wack? |

I'd like to point and laugh at the legendary MrOogieBoogie in person should he ever be available to make to a meet up. This is one guy everyone and their mother has been dying to see at a meet up. He sounds like a charming devil based on the video that he posted in the voice thread. Since he's a hot shot waiter by day and a pretty boy actor by night, he might not have time to make it to one (unless he asks for a day off or we demand it).
I'd also like to hear stories of Old GAF from Evil Solrac 3.0 in person as well as meet some more Hispanic Gaffers such as SolarPowered who probably notices these meet ups but ignores them. :( No matter, kccitystar and I shall provide the Spanish speaking fun in aces (although I understand that Mully speaks some decent Spanish). I demand that this song be played at the meet up as our official anthem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XshORRaNNNU |

So far we've only had a few people tell us what days they are available. We need more. It seems like the people who have joined in so far want the meetup later in the month, during the weekend, and Saturday would probably be the best day.
Alcohol seems to be a controversial topic so far. I'd like to make it clear that it will not be the main point of the meetup. This does not mean anyone of age can't drink, it just means it's during the day and let's enjoy each other's company outside. Drinking will probably be done later that night. If we could get some of the lurkers and possibly the regulars from the previous meetups to chime in, we'll have a concrete idea of what we are going to do by the end of this week. Please, if you have not already, post your ideas and what days you're available. |

Yeah, I am pretty damn busy these days (most of my GAF browsing is done on my phone since I'm always out), and I will be out of the state from August 17-26. I'd love to hang out with everyone, though. |

If people want to meet up in September or Labor day or whatever (which I'm not totally opposed, I can't guarantee I won't be out of town though) that's a September meetup, not an August meetup... there's no rule that says if we meet up only two or three weeks apart all our faces will explode. Sounds far but I like the idea, someone bringing burgers?

Another good idea. What does everyone think about the 25th? Also, I'd bring a few packs of Bubba Burgers. I like to believe I'm the grill master.

Philooch is pretty sure there's a BBQ area there so I'll take his word for it. If anyone else knows, please chime in. Also, the Brighton Beach subway stop is one mile west of Manhattan Beach. I have no issue with this, but I can see some logistical problems. Would everyone be down for this idea?

There's a strip of shops, Dunkin Donuts, and cafes on the way there. What time would everyone want to be there by? I'm guessing 1-2PM would be a good time?

its a bbq area you need to bring your own grills no propain just charcoal. i work literally on the beach so i know all the rules :P there is also a closer stop nearby i believe and the bus stops right in front of the beach. if any1 is confused just lookup how to get to kingsborough college cause its like 2 blocks from the beach. emmons ave is also really close. they have lots and lots of places to eat and is a great spot to meetup. they're is also parking at the beach for 20 $ all day till 8pm. you cant park on the streets saturday and sunday at all in that area.

Ouch. If someone local has a portableish grill that'd be great, otherwise we may need to look at other parks preferably with a beach that have their own grills. |

So it looks like Manhattan Beach is going to be the place and the 25th is going to be the date. What time would be best for the meetup? We also need to bring a grill for the meetup. If anyone would like to volunteer to bring one that'd be great. Otherwise, we may need to look at parks with grills already.

*It's in the middle of Fort Tryon Park, so yes. Plenty of areas for
picnics. It's a pretty awesome park. Great view in certain areas. What would rate The Cloisters' zombie defence level at?

http://www.nycgovparks.org/parks/for...ghlights/11974 There are natural defense points from which to snipe zombies, as well. I'd rate it at 9 for Zombie defense; 10 if their sea canons still operated. |
