The idea JFK was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald under his own accord always seemed extremely flimsy to me. I don't know which one of the alternate theories is true, but there's way too much decent extraneous evidence to believe that, even if you can't put every single piece of the puzzle together.
If I had to guess at one, though, it was a covert action planned and carried out by a small number of members of different government agencies: military, CIA, secret service, etc. With a lot of these agencies in a Cold War frenzy at the time, they thought his relatively peace-seeking ideas in regards to the USSR and Vietnam could be disastrous. |

I agree with this one. Similarly, the DTV conversion. Not the one listed in that article, but the one where the whole transition was a way to force newer technology on people, making them go out and buy new TV sets and other equipment. |

While Obviously the vast majority are crazy theories, conspiracy theories have been right quite a few times in the past, so I wouldn't immediately lump believers in with insane people.
http://conspiraciesthatweretrue.blog...cies-from.html Honestly this is the result of a half ass google search, so I'm not personally verifying all of these. |

And the CIA did that in many nations too... Guatemala, Pinochet in Chile, etc. |

What about the fires that went unfought for 8 plus hours inside the building? I think if any building was on fire for that long with out anything to even try and put it out it would collapse. Add to that the fuel of all the office supplies and paper and whatnot, as well as I'm sure quite a bit of combustible material from the two towers, it's no mystery why WTC 7 fell.

Yeah, what was a certain secret service agency filming the Twin Towers 2 hours before the incident while clapping and dancing?
I'd like to add the Illuminati, and Canada being run by whoever runs the United-States. Free Masons, and the other ones, what are they called the sword menders, forgers?

Yeah, that's the one I subscribe to. Not saying I know with any certainty though. But I do have my doubts. Shit, almost makes me want to watch JFK again.
To be honest I used to believe in a lot of crazy shit for a while. Right after 9/11 I was absorbed into that whole conspiracy thing along with a bunch of my friends. But the world wasn't making sense to me at the time so I wanted whatever answers I could get. Pity those answers were mostly coming from raving loons like Alex Jones and the like. Glad I dropped that shit years ago lol.

Don't turn this into a 9/11 conspiracy thread, there is a dedicated thread for that. |

I had always heard -- but never investigated -- the move from Old Coke to New Coke to Old Coke helped to mask the transition sugar-sweetened Coke to high-fructose corn syrup Coke. |

Anyways, it depends what you mean by conspiracy. Some people call the idea that corporate control/influence over the American government is a conspiracy theory. If that counts, then it is a conspiracy that I believe is definitely true. |

A group of rich industrialists, headed by US senator Prescott Bush, reached out to General Smedley Butler to recruit a million war veterans in order to stage a military coup against President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and in effect turn the US into a fascist dictatorship. They did this because they feared that "that man in the White House" would turn the US into a communist chocolate hellhole.
Bush and a bunch of others got away scott free.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1953_Ir...'%C3%A9tat Shit like this needs to be taught in US public schools. Most of the problems in the middle east can be traced back to this coup. |

I don't really look at the world as a place of conspiracy theories, but hidden crimes (maybe "hidden" isn't the right word) are regularly done by governments and those who manipulate them (e.g. corporations). An illuminati would be cool, but it is more like mob bosses if anything.
On 9/11, I think the theories on it are totally dumb (don't need to go into it, but they all fall apart on "execution" alone), but after hearing how completely reluctant Bush was to act on reports of an eminent attack makes me wonder if they wanted to allow a very small attack to happen in order to justify whatever ends. Then again it could just be another case of incompetence. Yeah, I think I'll go with that. Crazy how no one in the media gives him shit for that. Probably off-limits. |

The problem is that we are talking about CONSPIRACY theorys .... not just "there is a life form outside earth ?".
So if you say aliens you have to choose if it is the Area 51 theory, the inner aliens, the "they are among us", the probe ... the .... |

Agreed.
Also, aliens. I refuse to believe that in this vast universe, Earth is the only planet that managed to form sustainable life - at least "life" as we define it. I'm not convinced about Area 51 or Roswell, I'm strictly speaking about the universe at large.

If that were true, they probably would have placed some WMDs in Iraq so they didn't look like idiots when they found nothing there.
