The article has it wrong. The US one is just a plain silver PSP. The one with the design is from Japan.

And maybe one of the rarest and limited ps2 consoles (and beautiful) Automobile editions (only 666 made of each color, white, blue, red, silver and yellow). I own white, blue and yellow.

Once found one for £5 and I thought my luck was in. Sadly the Triforce was scratched to hell and barely visible so I passed.

Also the Kyroge/Groudon/Rayquaza GBA SPs would be amazing to own. No idea how much they go for these days.

This got me wondering why is it that Sony doesn't change the look of newer PS3 bundles with a design from a particular game theme like MS does with the Halos, Gears of Wars, and the most recent Star Wars Kinect, ect.?
