Age Gaps in Relationships #1

How far above(or below) your age would you be in a relationship with someone? Currently as a 21 year old, I don't think I'd get into a relationship with anyone older than 28.

But mostly I made this thread because I'm just curious if any of you had a relationship with someone older than you and how long it lasted, was the age gap an issue, if you are married, etc.

I'm almost 31 and dating a girl who just turned 23. I don't date girls my own age. When I'm single I only sleep with older women, no commitment.

I'd go as far as 40, 45 if we're talking graceful aging

In my early twenties myself

I've never been in a relationship, but I'd say +/- two years would be preferential for me. Someone about my age. I'm 23.

If its a serious relationship.. cant be older than 30.. aging ovaries and all that. If not then +10
Younger, half your age plus 7 rule sounds good.

Single moms in my area tend to be in their 20's.

Keep it withing +-10 (max, less probably) years, i'd say. For various reasons. I'm something of an ageist, at some point i think people cannot understand people that are young enough.
And of course i'm admittedly a hypocrite because i think i can do what i belive others cannot.

That said, i don't care about other peoples' relationships and age-gaps they may involve.

I'd never be able to go with anyone older than me. I hate the thought of a loved one dying before me , and them being younger than me potentially decreases those chances, hahaha.

That said, my fiance is only a year and a three months younger than me, but still. Fuck my life if she dies before me.

I'm 21. I wouldn't date anyone younger than me. If it's a serious relationship?... I'm not sure. Maybe 25?26? I'm kind of immature so I doubt that would work.

Uh I don't know. 70's if she looks good? There was this woman at the gym I went to years ago that was pretty hot. She was probably late 60s.

Oh, I'm 26.

Edit: I mean if shes in good shape. I'd hate to sound superficial.

I'm 21. I won't, like, exclude someone who's 18-20 based on that, but I find it unlikely I'd be into them. My tastes tend to skew towards my age or a year or two older. Easier to have a conversation with them.

Between 20 and my age +5. Maybe +10 depending on the woman.

I remember this one 30 year old, basically broke and rather do-nothing guy basically being supported by his six figure income earning, pretty attractive, 40 year old sugar momma and frankly... he had it pretty good.

I wouldn't complain in the least at being in that position.

For straight couples, women live longer than men, so it would actually even it out if you, for example, dated a woman who's 10-15 years older. You don't want her to be all alone for that long, do you?

I'm 23 and she's 28. It's not really a big deal, but she's Korean and feels pressure to get married ASAP, which I'm not really ready for. I'm trying to help her understand that it can't be rushed just because others expect her to be married before a certain age.

I know that feeling. My dad keeps trying to pressure me into finding a girl so I can get married. And I think he plans on finding me the girl.

It's weird.

5 year younger gap with the last one. 8 months younger with the current one. Would probably go up to guys in their mid 30s. Minimum at 20. As long as they are mature but silly.

Last year I went out with a 19-year-old and she felt extremely young. I was 25 at the time.

I'm not entirely sure if she was immature, or the 6 year difference was bigger than I expected.

10 years can be workable. But it depends on the ages of the involved, let's take a couple with a 7 year gap. When the man is 18, the girl is 11, that won't work. But from 27 to 20 the mental and physical development is almost the same, so that could work.

As long as she is 18 or older, doesn't matter if she is someone who interests me.

On the flipside, I've found it difficult to date women 30 or older given in my experience at least they are in much more of a hurry and seem to have more hangups than younger women.

Most of the women I've dated my whole life have been 18 to 23, which makes dating someone 15+ years younger than me a common occurrence in recent years.

As a 30 year old, I tend to date girls a few years younger (around 25) because I'm not interested in starting a family just yet and want that to be less of a concern should things get serious.

No younger than would be legal obviously. And I don't care about older. I don't care at all about age or anything like that. If 2 people are happy that's all that matters. Wouldn't even think about a massive age gap, it is what it is.
