Age Gaps in Relationships
#1
How far above(or below) your age would you be in a relationship with someone? Currently as a 21 year old, I don't think I'd get into a relationship with anyone older than 28.
But mostly I made this thread because I'm just curious if any of you had a relationship with someone older than you and how long it lasted, was the age gap an issue, if you are married, etc. |

Keep it withing +-10 (max, less probably) years, i'd say. For various reasons. I'm something of an ageist, at some point i think people cannot understand people that are young enough.
And of course i'm admittedly a hypocrite because i think i can do what i belive others cannot. That said, i don't care about other peoples' relationships and age-gaps they may involve. |

I'd never be able to go with anyone older than me. I hate the thought of a loved one dying before me , and them being younger than me potentially decreases those chances, hahaha.
That said, my fiance is only a year and a three months younger than me, but still. Fuck my life if she dies before me. |

Uh I don't know. 70's if she looks good? There was this woman at the gym I went to years ago that was pretty hot. She was probably late 60s.
Oh, I'm 26. Edit: I mean if shes in good shape. I'd hate to sound superficial.

Between 20 and my age +5. Maybe +10 depending on the woman.
I remember this one 30 year old, basically broke and rather do-nothing guy basically being supported by his six figure income earning, pretty attractive, 40 year old sugar momma and frankly... he had it pretty good. I wouldn't complain in the least at being in that position. |

I'm 23 and she's 28. It's not really a big deal, but she's Korean and feels pressure to get married ASAP, which I'm not really ready for. I'm trying to help her understand that it can't be rushed just because others expect her to be married before a certain age.

Really no one younger than you? I understand not wanting to date someone much younger than you but would a year or two really be completely out of the question?

As long as she is 18 or older, doesn't matter if she is someone who interests me.
On the flipside, I've found it difficult to date women 30 or older given in my experience at least they are in much more of a hurry and seem to have more hangups than younger women. Most of the women I've dated my whole life have been 18 to 23, which makes dating someone 15+ years younger than me a common occurrence in recent years. |

It's not like I'm 40 and trying to justify to my children why my girlfriend or boyfriend is the same age as them, but there is something to be said about different life experiences and attitudes not guaranteeing someone your age or older is mature by your standards.
