Just a really minor issue though but I otherwise love that KP still cares enough to deliver this to the fans 4 years later and for free to boot! Given the excitement you see all over the internet they could probably have made a little more cash by making us pay for it. |

The One Who Knocks: I think
Hawk **** Get praised by militia fighters at least 25 times. Additional Reward: Nothing This means to have the militants say things like "You saved my ass," "Good job," etc. To do so, just stay next to a militant in the Confinement Facility area where the PMC troops come out continuously and just keep blasting the PMCs. You can also do this in the Power Station or Vista Mansion area. Might be easier to do than Act 1's Militia safehouse one because I'm not getting praised at all killing the 4-5 respawing enemies standing side-by-side with the Militia people. :/ |

just started playing again and i'm impressed on how good the graphics hold up. also the transition between cutscenes and gameplay is amazing: cutscene, the camera just zooms out, bam, you can control snake,no stupid blackscreen to switch between cutscene and gameplay mode
i made this (spoiler! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgJOUjAEa2U) 4 years ago,now i can finally record it in hd |

Pretty sure you do. It's not hard, though. The only time you have to use non-lethal ammo is when the BB Corps are in their human form and doing the creepy walk towards you. You can use whatever gun you want when they're in their armor. The only time you're completely limited to non-lethal ammo is the Frog battle in Act 1 after you meet Rat Patrol.

Its a sign if things to come. The game itself has plenty of content, certainly it's way bigger and longer than MGS1 and 2 and doesn't have any less gameplay than its current gen 3rd person action peers (and has more replay value). But the ridiculous amount and length of the cutscenes really grates on me and makes the game feel much lighter on interactivity than it is. It's almost as bad for that as MGS2. Unbelievably poorly paced games. But still awesome. |

Eunao has stated that it is 50 kills for one flashback. I had thought it was one hundred but I cannot be sure of the precise number. Regardless, you need a lot and it takes a while. The turret is very useful though solely because you don't lose much ammo and you should be able to kill the soldier below you constantly before the Militia take over.

I dont get it....before the patch I played MGS4 and finished it. I played the whole game on a non lethal way.
After a couple of Acts I got always 5 killes..........! :( Example: Motorchase.... I used only my treq. gun but I got 5 kills. How is this possible? Thanx |

Oh, sorry, my mistake, I misinterpretted where you were. Yes, Militia should indeed count as well.
The first thing that I can think of is that perhaps you killed the Beauties? Also, if you killed the Jetpackers in Act 2 they count as kills. You may also have killed Frog soldiers during the Screaming Mantis boss fight. |

I didn't write that, but I can't even see the phrase you're referring to. If you mean the first beauty, you have to get the doll from the bed while she's zomibing after you I think.

For BBE, you can kill BEAST form, because those don't count as kill. For the figurine, you have to stun them (takes longer). (*) i think you can get the wolf one even after the fight. I'm not sure. Ending all the other beauty fights will warp you out of the level, that's why you can't get them later.

I wish I could agree. But from the first boss on, you get horrible footstep hunting, horrible turret stuff, horrible whistler stalking, horrible bike sequence, horrible second boss fight, horrible robot enemies, a good third boss, a weak boss fight, horrible mech fights, a good five minutes on a boat, another crap boss, a cool final fight.
Up to and including the first boss, it looked like it was going to be the 'game of the forever' I'd be hoping for in eager anticipation since that first trailer, but for me, it goes from incredible, to pretty damn bad right after that first boss. Which ironically, I literally just beat.

"and there'll be one more person on your team. His name is Mr. Sigint" Kojima sure knows how to make a game as detailed as one can be. |
